I have played BOTW for about 20-25 hours so far. I have traversed about half of the map, met several characters, completed some side quests and a handful and a half of shrines. Much of the time. RE7 isnthe scariest survival horror game I've ever played. Graphics are amazing, sound is terrifying, and the story is creepy as crap so far! Turn the lights down and the sound up and my heart pounds. To me it's an awesome game, I don't see what people are complaining about.

The system isn't that bad. The lack of games is bad. The omission of a AAA Mario and especially a AAA Zelda title in what will be 5 years is an atrocity. Thanks to Nintendo, I now have a PS4 and an Xbox One. Had Nintendo kept with a good stream of AAA Nintendo titles AND maintained top notch 3rd party support, I would only need a Wii U. Hey, all! Another "secret" console was released in Japan only during GameCube days...it was called the Panasonic Q. The whole thing was chrome/mirror/glass, and was taller than a GameCube. It played DVDs as well as GCN games. I REALLY wanted one! Sometimes they can be found on eBay. :-)

There are way too many awesome current gen games out, taking 100, 200+ hours to complete, for me to be worried whether or not my $400 console in 2015 can play an $8 antique or even a $20 last gen game. Super Star Wars from SNES? I played it in '94. Games,and I, have moved on! ;-)
Honestly, I couldn't care less. These are f2p games on my cell,kindle,etc. Anyone with a Wii U has another device that will play these, and most likely if you haven't played them yet, it isn't because you were waiting for a Wii U release. I really don't expect any more exciting announcements for Wii U. After Yoshi WW, Xenoblade, and one or two others (maybe Fatal Frame, less likely Devil's Third) my guess is that's about it for big Wii U titles.

Over several years I have noticed people ask for a Pokemon MMO. I really do not think Nintendo knows how to make an MMO, and I see a lot of unwillingness out of them to bring in fresh talent. Doug, I can tell a huge difference between 4K and 1080p on a 50" screen from 10 feet.
It's a bigger difference than from DVD to Bluray, especially if we continue your math...480p (DVD in progressive mode) x 4=1920, whereas Bluray, you know, is 1080. Well, 4K is just that, 4x that of 1080p.
So, yes, it is a big difference, and it is quite apparent.
Just because we are still ooohed and aahed by 1080p, which we are, doesn't mean 4k isn't as...
Here's my thought; if chatting with my friends is going to require use of my cell phone, will it use Wifi? Bluetooth through the Switch or wired through the Switch? My point is, I live in a mountainous region where there is NO CELL SIGNAL! Surely Nintendo wouldn't exclude so many people like me from the capability of simply TALKING to my online friends?!?
