You are forgetting the middle man with your DVD scenario. There is someone out there like Geohot that is creating software that allows you to pirate those DVDs with your DVD burner.
DVD is a storage medium, not a piracy medium.

3D didn't affect the frame rate?
Sure I can buy that, but it is taking up resources (both on the PS3 and in terms of working time) that could be used on making the game look better to the MAJORITY of gamers.
Also if you read the article I am not dismissing it entirely, I just don't think MID generation is the time to try and push 3D onto us.

Yes but online they can do it because there is a much lower cost to send a game from their distribution center. In store it is more of a ploy to get you loyal to the company so you will trade a game in, or buy some used games or accessories which is where their highest profit margins are.
It costs money to distribute a game right? Well the US can get away with it because there are 200million people in the country. In Australia that number is closer to 20 million. It is a much smaller market to sell games too. The wii is only just past 1 million consoles sold in australia compared to around 25 in the states, with a smaller market there needs to be a higher profit made per unit to justify them selling it here.

Im a impulse gamer, ill pick a game up for 10 mins I have to spare or so I have to spare OR sit and play for a few hours. So things like this REALLY get on my nerves since its holding a fantastic multiplayer back.

But what I will argue with is my time managment. there was a min left in the match, I thought it was going to be a quick round with the game I was playing. It went too long. Didnt help matchmaking took a while that night.

The best replacement spring is one from a floppy disk drive. Take the silver slider off and the little spring in there is the same shape and actually tighter and feels better. Cut a few mm off and you have a perfect replacement.
