You would not need BC....However you need the PS2 games to have SOMETHING to play on the PS3 :)
The 360 almost every game is BC ALL of the major ones are
1 That's the reason I bought a 60gb PS3 because it has the BC chips
2 The 360 does BC via online down load all but 4 games are BC with the 360
And when do they get delayed? BTW MGS4 and FFXIII are going 360 too

No way they can move that many in six months....games are lame so far everybody knows your going to have to dump another $50 bucks on a new rumble control whenevr that may be. Gamers want games...no b-ray players ect. They are going to need on heck on a Christmas! good luck with that.
Mass effect is 360 ONLY and at the very least UT3 (which is also going on the 360 along with...GASP...MGS4 and FFxiii...like it or not) has been pushed back to 2008 who wants to bet on what other titles wont see 2007?
and if only $ony could get them out on time so that the 360 version is not $30 bucks cheaper. I bought Fall of man which is a really good game but it could have been GREAT if the control had rumble. I have each system and I play and buy more 360 games.If you like shooters forget ps3 until rumble comes back.

Backwards compatible.........no ps2 games run on this at all...no download.....nothing That is why I bought a 60gb PS3 it has the hardwear built in for old games.

Why would you make it for just one system? You would not. Too much money to be missed. It would be one thing if $ony had the numbers the ps2 had but they do not, that system just does not have the game at the time where the 360 does. That is why UT3 and MGS4 and FF XIII will be on the 360. I own eash system and if people could afford it I guess everybody would but most people ubder 25 or 30 cant so pick the one you can afford and have fun with it.
