Because there is still a large market size for pc gaming. But numbers never lie. Console games do bigger numbers than pc counterparts.
But the games aren't on steam so you'd still need w10/xbox to play the games.
Now i would think releasing xbox games on steam would hurt the xbox brand cause it's not a w10 platform. The only way they're coming to steam is if MS makes a deal and steam comes to xbox in return, which isn't likely.
Will some not buy xbox because of this? Ya probably. Will this kill off or hurt xbox in any significant way? Not likely. Does this help MS and grow xbox/w10 gaming? Yes.

Other games matter, COD and RDR was the top 2 most requested. Cod mp was awoken from the dead, it's population skyrocketed. Just look at the R* page many ps4 owners wanna play it too.

I have too many games this gen with little time. If a game doesn't catch my attention within 15m i move on to the next or play some h5 mp. I know thats not a good habit cause games tend to start slow and getting better over time. Gonna buy inside too due to the hype, i better not be dissappointed

Are you able to play xbox games off a surface pro? That would be sweet wuth the play anywhere feature. Instead of bringing an xbox just bring your surface pro and play your xbox games off it. Not many family or friends i vist have a powerful w10 pc to play off of. I may get a w10 laptop but i prefer tablet.
