The hardware itself has been running 100% all the time. Thats it's purpose. The Unreal Engine 3 engine on the other hand, has to utilize those 100% as good as it can. Lets say Gears 1 used 80% of the hardwares 100% (I'm just making up numbers), and with the newly updated Unreal Engine 3 (3,1) Gears 1 would run with only 60%. Is it really that hard to make a game that doesnt feel like mari kart on a snowboard? It doesnt help much with awesome trees in the background, when the players feet is a metre under the snow, and its no snow nouncing off his feet. He is just riding clen through the snow. WTF!?

Why would I, as a gamer, care if the HD DVD format loses the war?
It doesnt affect the xbox 360's games. And I dont use any console for HD movies or DVD. For movies I got separate players such as Blu-ray, HD DVD and DVD players.
It's time to realize that the HD DVD vs Blu-Ray and 360 vs PS3 wars are two completely differet wars, with no real links to one another.
