I was fortunate enough to mention this to the CS rep I spoke too when I was reporting my faulty ps4. I mentioned to her that I had activated the console as my primary and if she could deactivate it before I sent it in to them.
She did so and now when I receive the new system I can just activate it as my primary as if I never had the faulty one.
Not that it's confirmed crash is back, but wouldn't you think they would deny all questions regarding the title until they officially announce it? If they announce it that is.
Why would he just randomly give it away to a random tweeter asking him... Patience, my lads. :) let time play itself out and then we'll see.

In that case, imagine the possibilities? I imagine they did this also in an effort to quickly replace those consoles that would show up faulty. Not that they were many.
At this rate though, if they have a sufficient amount of consoles left for the coming holidays, that number of consoles sold mark will rise steadily.

Oh please. Nobody rushed anything to get their console out onto the market. Sony rushed the PS4 out to get a head start on MS ?
They didn't even know the release date of the Xbox One during that time. Sony announced it first and MS announced their's later on.
NO MATTER how much any company delay's their console, their will ALWAYS be hardware malfunctions on launch day. Their is no such thing as a perfect launch.
Oh well that sucks. Hope that works out for ya. I've been skyping with a friend and he's been able to play KZ sp on his ps4. along with other games he got.
That's extremely unfortunate. Glad the guy took the issue with ease and didn't overreact like many others would do. Much less, receiving a shipping box in that state and console as well ? Other people would unleash hell I'll tell ya that. lol

Is that so? even then, I could totally see myself playing single player during this time period lol but it does ease some sorrow off my back a little :)
It just russels my jimmies so much to see these ps4 games sit right next to me and my ps4 right behind and know I could easily be playing if the damn video would show on my tv lol :(
I shall soon be the next one to use this :( Sony said it should be getting to me either today or tomorrow. I'm hoping today so the faster the better that way I can receive the new one by next Monday or so.

Don't worry... some orders are processed much faster than others depending where you live. My friend ordered a launch edition as well and it says preparing for shipment atm.
I'm not sure how the shipping process works, but I've got to imagine some have priority over others depending how far someone lives.

Something that I haven't really heard people say that I myself notice with the design, is that due to the slanted architecture on the backside of the console it's now much less likely that your ports get clogged with dust along with the vents.
the slant at the top of the ports and vents are seen as some type of "roof" that will allow the vents to release hot air properly and the HDMI, Power input, etc connections free of dust that can be quite annoying.
