There's a number of VPNs out there that give limited free access to their services with a data cap. You can get Cyberghost who renew their data limit every month for you. There's also Tunnelbear who operate in a similar way.

I've been using the Linksys AC1900 for BF4 recently. The game has its own lag issues but switching to that router improved the experience quite a bit.
