Your tryouts is the perfect reason why real competitive players SHOULD NOT solo queue. Get on a team. League soccer doesn't have PUGs, but games do. Why? To appeal to a broad audience paying to support the game. These games need to BECOME culture, they aren't it, and without appealing to the masses, they'll die off swiftly and silently, unlike games that have lasted decades/centuries.
I nearly forgot about this. Not really a huge fan of either IP (mostly because I've never finished a game in either series), but it did look weirdly interesting for potential fans.
Maybe, but Xbox's Project Scorpio made me super envious and anxious. If Nintendo can't do the same, I'm going to be really, really disappointed. Nintendo's the reason I still buy consoles, but (at least at my age) few people get their systems. Moving to PC and other platforms would open them to a much broader audience.
I think Splatoon was much better in terms of accessibility and uniqueness.
Just in time for this week's theme!
As did my gaming last night while I tried to get in a big push with Battleborn's double xp weekend >.< BB's more interesting for PvE, but I want to hit OW during its peak so if my computer can get a rez, I'll be chilling with Blizzard.
I still hate how the lore (like so many Blizz games) is so far second to gameplay. They're not a movie company or an RPG company, they're about mechanics. Why don't they simply focus on matching narrative with mechanics for heaven's sake?
Losing GvG feels huge, especially as so many cards in arena have C'thun affects but he makes no appearance in that format.
still haven't gotten through the first one, but i keep hearing good things
Really hope he'll consider doing Undertale in the future!
Was PvP supposed to be a strong point for Destiny? I never felt like it was a main focus on their advertising. I felt more like it was supposed to be WoW in space, and WoW is mostly known for it's raid scene.
Wow, took them long enough! MassivelyOP's been covering this for ages:

Um, did you even read the article? This is based on ACADEMIC research. The OFFICIAL manual for documenting mental health rejects BOTH internet AND gaming addiction.
BOTH.
From people with DOCTORATE degrees.
Who write things judged by OTHER DOCTORS.
I'm not saying this to be mean, but to save you embarrassment. Delete this comment and actually read the article. You can have your opinions, but voicing them in the face of research, withou...
The thing is, this thing (to me) just further shows Nintendo is better at peripherals than hardware. They have interesting ideas, but as long as they're forced to also make hardware, I worry how long they can go on. They're unique, but they do a lot of gimmicky stuff that might be easier for them to sell if they use broader platforms.
...of course, these are also the only real portable gaming system players in the game (thank you smart phones), so I could be wrong ;P ...
Those same minorities are the ones that drive initial hype (see Pokemon for an example).
There's nothing wrong with advertising to kids ANYWHERE, but the US strategy in particular is limited to kids. Again using pokemon as an example, the concept was befriending and training animals (and then making them fight). There's nothing inherently childish about this, and in fact, an adult perspective reveals this to be a rather cruel affair. That's before even diving into...
Hi, I'm the author. I live in Japan. There's a very, very large fanbase here, as well as abroad with those who import Japanese games, manga, and anime. Nice try though.
Oh for the love of... DO NOT REPORT THIS AS A DUPLICATE! IT DISCUSSES AMIIBO IN JAPAN!
Updated with English audio video of the final match.
The vehicle is pretty terrible for the traditional board, I agree, but as I said in the article, it does add something for Bowser Party. Nintendo's shown that they can do something interesting with that idea, I just feel that they didn't develop it enough.
If they like the boat, they need to do more interesting things with it. The fact that the Mario Party setting has more maps than the Bowser Party one, and that both use the boat, is why I think so many people disli...
It does. You can buy stickers and avatar customization options, plus emotes.
