That should be the response of anyone on this planet when they hear that comment. CEO's are so cute these days... taking all that money... not really doing anything.... and then retiring after their first CEO gig.
we all know how it will work from here on out. The gaming exec's will sit around a big glossy oak table in their high price suits thinking of what they are going to do with their super model assistant before going home to their wrinkley wives and they will all agree that chargeable components of games be left out so they can nickel and dime us to death increasing their profits so they can sit pretty on their 3rd yacht.
This current installment (the xbox 360) will be neck and neck with the wii. However, the xbox 720 will recieve serious gamer backlash due to their red ring of death history. No gamer in their right mind will look to purchase the next system.

Look at all those software dollars. M$ knows what they are doing on the software side........... most def not so sure on the hardware side.
Halo 3 appears to be more hype than anything. I hope the game does not dissapoint when I crack it open after staring at the shiny helmet.

If the wii continues to sale like hot cakes while the 360 continues to pull over nex gen title after nex gen title. The PS3 may die a fast 3D0 style death. They will then have to choose between an early PS4 or go the route of Sega. Time shall tell but the reasons to buy a PS3 are becoming very close to non-existent.
