I'm italian. Xbox one was released on november 2013. Don' t be surprised for the sales: Italy has always been a playstation country. It's not hate for ms ( for example, Windows phone si doing well in Italy). The lack of multi player games is also caused by the lack of good dsl connection in italy :(
So RPGs' lovers don't have a 3DS? I agree with your point, but in this case you are completely wrong. Why wouldn't a RPG lover buy a 3DS? Atlus, Square Enix, Namco Bandai etc. made RPG for 3DS. JRPGs titles sell a lot in Japan, so choosing 3DS is a good choice. Better than Vita.
I'm sure that if, by any chance, this game was in developement for Wii U, you would say that it was a bad choice.

Haven't seen day one edition in Italy, but I have seen some xbox one (standard package), every retailer seem to have at least 2.
They just want to hype, like "Oh my god i've found a day one edition, I have to buy it now because Microsoft said that they were sold out, oh my god i'm so lucky!!!".

I wrote that it deserved more sales. Releasing P4G exclusively on Vita was a bad choice, they should have done a PS3/PSVita P4G just like Square is doing with FFX HD.
However, this doesn't change the fact that 3DS is a good choice because of its sales.
I don't think it will be released on 2014 (at least not in Western regions). SE already have important games for 2014 (LRFF13, FFXHD, KH2.5HDRemix, FF14 for PS4). Not counting Eidos games, of course.

As a multiplatform player, there's a thing I really like. If you sum the two line-up you have a very strong variety of real next-gen titles (not including cross gen of course). Xbox one has a fighter, an action, an horror, a racing, which PS4 doesn't have (Driveclub is delayed, so it doesn't count in the launch line up), while PS4 has a platform and a next gen shooter which Xbox one doesn't have.

There's nothing to be scared about. First of all, it's normal to have news about failing electronics while you don't have news when it works.
We see some problems regarding PS4, but people who are using it and works don't post news on websites saying "my PS4 works", of course.
IGN had a problem with the console but if I read correctly, Sony changed the console, and the new one works fine. It's not 100% failure rate XD.
So they announced that the game was on PS4 and One without even knowing the hardware? Pretty risky I guess.
Actually what happened here is not very different from many other cases, like Watch dogs for example. The truth is that this is just marketing.
