nvidia isn't better
they was because they made the first GPU ever 17 years ago instead of separated chips on the card and this gave them a big advantage for years

3 to 4 years ago the market share of discrete GPUs was almost 50/50
but the delay of R-200 and now R-300 series gave the advantage to nvidia again

GTX750ti can get 21 fps and R9-290x get only 8 fps
