I think it's more related to the vocal fans hyping a game, and usually insulting the competition at the same time. Fans of the insulted console want some payback for their console being "unfairly" mistreated. At that point, they how a game will fail to shut people up. It's not the games, but the misplaced rage at the competing consoles fan base.

I think you're right that the perceived value is not there with this game at $60. $30 sounds a bit more reasonable. I wouldn't pay $60 for Ryse either... I see these 2 games as being similar (short, shallow gameplay, but gorgeous graphics).
I bought fantasia and the game is surprisingly quite good. That's D4 and now Fantasia for Kinect. Not quite as good as Child of Eden on 360, but both are fun.
Based on all the Sony fans comments on this website, I would say it will sell just fine.
I liked Ryse too but it wasn't worth full price. That's the difference.
AC Unity works fine now. No patch is going to turn the order in to a good game.
I have an original 20GB hdd in my 360 that is from 2006, and works great. I'm not worried about the internal drive at all. Of course if it stopped working, I would simply replace with an off the shelf retail hdd. They are easy to change... just voids the warranty. Warranty is only 1 year anyway. You were saying?
