They are opening it to test out the servers and fix any last minute bugs that may arise so when released everything is fine unlike black ops. of course it is also for people to get hooked up on the game as well

well you had your choice to buy the system with backwards compatibility when they were out for the first two years didn't you? The original had more usb ports, backwards compatibility, sd cards, touch sensitive, other os (not anymore due to hackers) and all that made 500$ worth for me and I got the mgs4 bundle so the game came with it too.

^I never said portal 2 is the first cross platform game now did I? I just said that portal 2 allows that on ps3 and not on xbox and there are indications that future valve titles atleast may also use that feature.
ea and sony are doing a really poor job of advertising this game. I havent seen an ad on gamestop or amazon that says buy the version of ps3 and get extraction for free. all the us versions are limited editions as per IGN but yet there is a lot of confusion over this. come on EA/Sony step it up.

if you had preordered on amazon you would have got the game for 36.99 with a 20$ credit for a future game (me getting dead space 2 with that credit) which was a really good deal.

well if it sells more then it will further indicate that majority of 360 players prefer fps shooters. It only sold like 1.6 million copies for a highly rated game on 360 and pc combined as per the EA quarterly report in 2010.

1. it doesn't allow cross platform play for games like portal and most likely other steam games in future. no free dlc or updates? how was it paying for l4d dlc when the pc users and most likely ps3 users get dlc for free with steam games?

@DK286K exaggerate much? DOZENS of highly rated EXCLUSIVES? i think 360 fanboys are hoping these titles are announced way more than ps3 fanboys hoping they are not announced. on top of what has already been announced for ps3 i can prolly come up with 10 more unannounced exclusives for ps3 as well.
