Whenever a publication has to post an article defending their views, usually there is something wrong with that. Especially when the article essentially calls anyone who disagrees with them hipsters who only hate on MW3 because it's cool to do so.
And to compare it to Half-life was borderline trolling. Half-Life innovated, MW3 imitated.
Destructoid review's make Gamespot look good. After reading the MW3 review, followed by the embarrassing editorial defending it, the site lost all credibility.

No wonder stocks fell. It's not that WiiU is a horrible product, they just failed in every aspect at revealing it to the public.
His explanation was like watching a 4 year old explain why Spider-man could beat up Superman. Terrible name and failed attempt at convincing the hardcore gamer that this will be anything more than a Wii upgrade.

Bingo. Major story events will always be scripted, no matter what. However, how you get from Point A to Point B is where the game really shines. Battlefield you can drive through the narrow roads in town and try to shoot your way through. Or you can level a few buildings and take a short cut. The possibilities are endless. No such freedom exists in any shooters today.
It's scripted in the game for storyline purposes. No matter if its 5 years ago or 5 years from now, all games will need to have scripted events at some points in order to tell a story.
Either way, after watching the trailer, it's pretty convincing how it was scripted. Unlike games such as Homefront with invisible walls, christ what a terrible design decision.
I have them as well and I'm not complaining. It has nothing to do with PSN being down for so long, you just sound greedy and want your own slice of the pie.
Of course it's free advertising, but it's still FREE. If you are going to be objective on every move Sony makes then you don't deserve anything in the first place.
