The way things are going now, is the reason why I've stopped buying games new.
Now, I just buy games that are pre-owned or wait for around a $30 price point.
Agreed. That would be a good reason to pick up a game new, not pre-owned.
Most should be free. Large add ons or a whole expansion, could be priced.
However, nonsense like a couple maps, outfits, couple guns.. should be free.
Little things should be incentives to the customers buying, and playing, the game.
I can see things like ME's 'Shadow Broker' or Skyrims 'Dawngaurd' costing money, though.
I would rather pay $40 for the multiplayer, over the single player.
While the single player isn't necessarily bad, I don't think it's worth $40.

Not true, I'd say. GTA is a huge game.. there will be plenty of copies made.
Also, the word that GTA5 is now taking preorders; it would travel like wildfire.
R* and GTA5 would have no problems keeping up with preorders. My guess.
I think I read before that R* didn't release much info till about a week before GTA4.
I believe that included the release date and an official gameplay video of GTA4.
So, if that is the case and is true, then GTA5 could come out this year, indeed.
Actually, while not a direct advertisement, x360 does get quiet a bit.
It's indirect, but they advertise through other companies games.
Most games you see with a x360 stamp on them, not a PS3 stamp.
Also, I see the x360 logo more on tv, whether through sports or other shows.
Even movies, like Real Steel, seem to advertise the x360 logo, not the PS3.

I don't think they will announce until they are close to release; say E3'13.
That's just utter nonsense.. Day one DLC makes no sense what so ever, to have.
Most of the time, anyway, you cannot access the DLC right away, although some you can.
Though, most of the time DLC instantly accessed isn't really necessary to the game.
But, things like a character (ME3, BL2) that are charged, is just annoying. No one wants that.
