Yes, I upgraded my 40GB to a 320GB Hard Drive and it moved everything.
I know that for a fact. Why would they charge more than $349 which is their highest price right now. It will cost $299 and will have the bundle with a 500gig hard drive. And a $199 version will be released for those who want just a 250gig PS3, with no bundle.

The difference in Hard Drive size probably only costs Sony $1-$2 max it won't really have a big effect on the price.
But now that Sony has been able to have the RSX graphics chip in the PS3 reduced in size to 40nm by Nvidia they should now be able to make the PS3's bellow the $300 dollars they sell for.
So even if Sony does end up selling at a loss it is because they are going to regain it all.
They will profit off the software espe...

No the Cell does not fail. The third party developers who program graphics only on the RSX fail. Because originally the Cell was going to be the only Chip in the PS3. And it would have been Better because you can create better graphics and no one would be able to use the RSX as a crutch like they do now to avoid graphics processing on the Cell like Sony intended. But Developers didn't want to sink the time. So if a developer uses the Cell and the RSX the game will turn out beautiful like ...

When you say SPU are you refering to the Cell's SPE's?
You know It could just be a 4 SPE variation of the Cell Processor, powered with a new lithium sulfide powered battery Sony has been working on.

Which could actually prove viable and maybe a special variation of the Tegra or possibly a modified Tegra 2 or 2.5 to give them the graphical edge over the DS 2...

The Cell CPU is made using a 45nm manufacturing process down from a 65nm and 90nm before that. The RSX GPU is made with a 40nm manufacturing process. Meaning that the smallest component on the GPU is 40 nanometers. So compared to the launch console which had a 90nm CPU and 90nm GPU the newest PS3 is cheaper just as powerful and runs more efficiently and cooler. With a 45nm CPU and 40nm GPU. When they shrink the Cell down to a 32nm manufacturing process we will see the release of the PS3 super...

Sony really is benefiting year over year with growth though while Microsoft may have had the most profit over all they dropped from the previous year's profit as well as Nintendo. Sony is the only company to grow.

PS3 has Version 1.3 where the Xbox 360 only has version 1.2.... And PS3 is capable of a much higher bandwidth so PS3 and other 1.3 and 1.4 HDMI Hardware devices can display true HD 3D content Xbox Can NOT.
