I was very impressed with Division as well, was a bit upset that its an MMO type game and not supporting offline play. Which actually got my thinking more on Ubisofts games and the fact that they seem to be leaning on making games require Internet. Makes me wonder about Watch Dogs if it can be played offline since they showed the demo where the hero called in help from a tablet user.
I can see PS fans torned between this, its fine with the PS+ users as they are already using the service for other perks, while reg. users now have to pay.
HDD is removable and Region Free
Bubble up, couldn't help but laugh
I like Microsoft, yet if I buy this new system after 24 hours it won't work because my home(house) is located where there is no online service providers. It doesn't matter if I want to lead or follow, its about getting a system that works
"So basically the top publishers are going to charge us *something* to play games online if we buy used..."
EA dropped online passes for a reason
Does every form of DRM require an internet connection at some point? As that's my main concern, without having internet offered in my home this box would just be a box. Which means instead of having the choice of system, I will be force with one or neither if both do this.
Yes my pc was crap at the beginning, I've upgraded since then, due to some of these problems it was all a learning experience. I have a decent PC now and my min specs are above what most games require, money is not the problem, I can always buy and upgrade, its easy now YET THERE ARE GAMES I STILL CAN'T PLAY no matter how much more money I throw into it. Even if I had the Titan graphics card, games would not on my PC. I also have issues upgrading drivers well because you need internet...
This is awesome, loving Dark Arisen
Wow that's so backwards from my view Playstation and Xbox are so much better than PC I can't even tell you the amount of times I have bought a PC and couldn't play it. Never had that problem with a console game in my life. Here are a few reasons why the PC games didn't work, didn't have a good enough graphics card, didnt have a good enough CPU, didn't have the updated drivers, couldn't sign into Steam/Uplay/Origin. To this day I have only been able to fix some of t...
Wonder if you have to set a languages or all/most of them are already programmed into it and can be used at the same time. say you use the turn on command in english, then can you used the tv command in french. I have bilingual friends who jump between the 2 without realizing it.
I know plently of people who are going to just drop current gen and use it to trade it in for credit towards next gen. If the new systems did have backwards compatibility they would have only traded in the systems, not system+games.
This is a kick to the balls, I bought the KZ collection cause I missed out on all 3 titles. my favorite things are KZ3 co-op campaign and KZ1 MP with bots. ya I don't play shooters alone so this is a deal breaker for me
@Zachiel
I think you are right with adding servers to the cost the system.
We will see a cost break down once they release, likely by the same group who did the WiiU one.
@Darkshader
Sony already makes harddrives for there desktops and laptops so throwing one in a PS4 is pretty cheap as they already mass produce them and if Mircosoft goes the same way with the XBox One harddrives as they did with the 360 it would cost them mo...
I always thought Office was their bread and butter
Maybe the remaining components are cheaper for Sony because they are already using the components in other hardware (Vita, PS3, TVs, Cameras, Tablets, Phones, Stereos, etc) Microsoft might not have a large enough hardware selection where they could just grab components from the pool of there other hardware manufacturing lines. Sony could likely save a lot that way
Interesting
I've never played an MMO, mainly cause Internet doesn't reach to my home but at least there is an option for people who do
I was going to buy this I still might, as I have loved games that got low scores before
This Guy seems like a moron to me, come on I have a cell but I dont have cell service when I'm home. I'm out a lot, shopping, working, visiting, etc. people need to be able to reach me. If the call my cell and can't reach me, its likely cause I'm home then they just call the house phone. Don't really think I would be taking Xbox One everywhere I go.
