My son has his games, and I have mine. He lost one of his games a couple of years back (I still think he left it at a friends house) and it happened to be a game that we both have. I showed him that I still have mine and how great of shape it is in because I value what I pay money for.

I agree that it can be somewhat gratuitous in some games, but last of us is a perfect example of it being used well.

I really think that Microsoft's first assertions of how their console would be released really hurt them. Yes, they turned everything around but it only helped Sony with getting peoples attention.
Alianating consumers when there is another product of the same caliber on the market will hurt you. Even if changes are made.

How many loses has Nintendo posted a loss in it's history? Two, and that was just in this year and last.
The 3DS sells 5 to 1 what the PS4 and Xbox One sell, and gems like Fire Emblem, Link Between Worlds, Pokemon X&Y, Shin Megami Tensei continue to sell like hotcakes...I could go on with the 3DS, But how many Vita's has Sony sold? No one talks about Sony...

They have had financial problems pre-dating the original Playstation.
It also good to note that the only time Nintendo has ever issued a loss to their stockholders was before the 3DS price drop.
People want to hate on Nintendo, but they sell 5 to 6 3DS's for every one Xbox One or PS4 sold...just saying.

I am a Sony man myself, I love their exclusives more.
Plus, most games that I can play on the 360 or Xbox one I can play on my P.C.

Are those early adopter tears I am tasting?
I still predict that after the first of the year BOTH PS4 and Xbox One sales will decline a bit.
Because as many people that are out there that want the new systems, there are just as many like myself that are willing to wait and are happy with the systems that they bought late in their cycles.
Still happy with my PS3, 3DS, and recently purchased Zelda WII U.
Plus I have so many games in my steam library that I have not played yet that it is rediculous.
I did pre buy a PS4, but I plan on selling it on Ebay and making four or five hundred bucks proffit like I did with the PS2.
Why do we have this conversation on every popular console launch?
Of course it is hard to get. Supply Vs. Demand people. In other words people are buying them faster than Sony can make them.
