I didnt think I'd be able to find that video anywhere, but it came up first result I searched. was pretty awesome
those were on the list. I literally had a list of close to 15 games that I could have chosen from. I narrowed it down to the 2 I chose, and didnt add ALL the games in the editor note at the end.
It's always tough to write articles like this one, so many choices. Thanks for sharing yours though
Edit: Yeah, these things are always a toughie! Thanks for checking it out though!
as soon as people lighten up a bit?
"Finish The Fight"
That's what started all the hype and kept it going until release day.
When I wrote this didn't care if the game I picked failed or didn't fail.
All the people who say it has to be a game that failed and then say modern warfare 2 or WoW, you make no valid point. You say it has to fail and then you talk about wildly successful games.
To everyone, Thanks for reading and leaving your thoughts whether you agree o...
I in no way felt defiled or upset by Halo 3, I still play it to this day. Just because 90% of you FEEL something is one way doesn't mean it is.
I'm guessing you didnt do very well in school because you FELT things were the way you thought they were.
Just because 90% of people FEEL "overhyped" means bad, doesn't mean it really is. Maybe you should go back to english class and learn the language and what words really mean.
Sorry stevo, the wor...
the last decade had plenty of games and things that were overhyped.
GTA IV was hyped up a lot, but I do feel no game has been hyped to the level of Halo 3
Just because the game was "overhyped" does not mean it was bad!
I really feel that gamers give the term overhyped a bad connotation to it.
The game was good, but just look at ALL of the hype and build up for it.
Good or Bad, the game was overhyped in the literal meaning of it.
Not this meaning gamers seem to have adopted for it, which is
Overhyped = Bad/Forgotten game
The first line of the article says the definition of overhype is, "to promote or publicize to excess." It never states once that the hype, or overhyping of halo 3 was bad for it.
Gamers such as yourself make it a bad thing, when in fact it's not!
The definition of overhype is, "to promote or publicize to excess."
where does it say that a it has to do bad? people like you make it seem like the term is bad, when in fact its not at all.
Did you even read the full article? It clearly says at the end that this helped Halo for the most part. Just because it's "overhyped" doesn't mean its bad dude. People like you give the word that negative connotation
I think it's funny that some people over in the gamer zone jumped on the fanboy wagon, misunderstood, or just didn't even read the whole article.
I clearly state that despite its being LITERALLY "overhyped" it still did/does great.
Just because gamers feel the term overhyped is a bad thing, doesn't mean it is.
In Halo 3's case it works out, but you can't deny that it was WAY overhyped..IN the literal sense/meaning of the word.
LoL, thank you very much for sharing that video with us
ohh yeah, the PS2 definitely had it's share of problems.
I learned how to repair them so I didn't have to buy a new one. 9/10 times you could just clean the lens or adjust the voltage of the laser to fix it.
I used to work for a retail store and I fixed game consoles there. The Disc Read Error was the single most common problem. We used to just call it Dr DRE, cause getting the DRE was just as bad as him.
haha, well, Im glad you thought it was a good read. Thanks!
I am the one who wrote the post over at HBG.
First I want to say, it's great to see people discussing and sharing their opinions about the post. Agree or Disagree it's great to see people talking about it and sharing their opinions.
If I had to pick my favorite console from this last decade, I would go with either the Xbox 360 or PS3. Both have done great things in the last 4-5 years and will continue to do great things into the next generation.

It will be interesting to see how the next 10 years go and what systems we see come and go.
I can see what you're saying, and I agree with most of it, but they were still decent games. They were no Bomberman, that's for sure!
yeah, I didn't enjoy that game too much either, didn't really keep me interested
yeah, the color does fit really well. The red will cover the RROD
SONY to buyout MS and Halo, 2160p Gaming on the way?
