Survival horror is one of my favorite genres, that i have see it die makes me hate more this horrible Gen.
DS 3 will be the hammer that nail the Survival horror genre for good, the nail bein RE 6.

Im not a fan of XIII (There seems to be a lot, even tough the game hasnt seen at least a bit of gameplay) but i spect that SE would die if this comes true.
Either way i wasnt specting alot of a game with a FF and a XIII in it.

They didnt anticipate my reaction...I love it, DMC 4 was such a bore compared to the original DMC and Heaveny Sword soim up for this reboot.
Then you didnt loved RE for what truly was you just bear with the game if you despised things like ink ribbon, you know ink wear out when you whrite in a typewritter, Survival horro as it finest.

Trophies/Achievements are just a distraction to what is currently ruining gaming: Short half assed games.
This is because instead of games during more for its sheer amount of content you spend more time replaying already visited areas of the games and so developers could make a 2 hour game and prolong its duration with "Challenges" just so people ignore that they paid 60 dollars for an easily 30 $ product and the sad part is that it works, and so the tendency become...

Jrpgs are alive in the psp and Ds in japan is only that they cater to japanese and seeing how FPS are popular in the west then there is no point to localize a game from a niche genre to the mindless shooter fanbase of the rest of the world, FPS are so popular that even they have been killing genres like RE was a SH genre game and now it became a shooter like the rest.
this game will be good but it will kill forever the legacy that RE has build in years of good SH games.
Is a shame one of the most popular genres back in the PS1 and PS2 era has to die thanks to the mindless shooter fanbase that has risen in this Atrocious gen.
SE should shut up and think how they can correct the FF franchise because if fails then SE should stay as a publisher because as a developer has been sucking BIG TIME.
Normally thats is more the exception than the rule. But your right as far as this generation goes western developers have done a good job.
But i think japanese still have the best horror media than other countries.
Shadow of the Colossus has the best soundtrack ever, a true instrumental masterpiece.
