i thought it started at half four not half five.
i have just done 100mph up the M1 from london to newcastle with no toilet break or food stop to get home for half four. silly me.
i firmly believe slim is real - i am not however saying that any particular picture(s) we have seen are the correct item or that it will be announced as soon as gamescom.
sony cannot announce that a slimmer, cheaper model will "be out soon" as sales of the current model will stop completely.
i believe a lot of this mystery leaking hype train may however be deliberate - a viral marketing campaign which is working VERY well. the uninformed are still buyin...
First time I have ever Seen the fabled combo breaker put to use.
Well played.
people do not realise this £5 rise is VERY significant. it is pure greed, arrogance and contempt toward us as gamers for this company to try and increase already record profits during a recession.
a £5 rise during a recession, in a country hit harder than most, paves the way for us all to get bent right over.
if WE as gamers accept this, it shows we will literally accept anything to get games. when the recession ends - games = £70
companie...
just goes to show how outrageous activision are, they want £54.99 for a game when you can buy a game studio for £0.50.
also, "responsible for the wheelman" sounds like it is meant in the same way "fred west was responsible for a string of murders"
you know what they should do?......
put the price of games up in the UK!......
...oh wait....
if i was tony hawk i would be distancing myself from *that* publisher as soon as possible and going elsewhere.
hope this continues to spread. i had made my mind up to boycott even before this hype.
mag and flahpoint for me.
VALUE is the new COD
£7.99 for maps for Call of Juarez?
say whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?
i will buy this twice if it gets an english language release!!!
I was really looking forward to mw2 as a huge fan of mw.
Out of principle I am not paying this new high price for it.
My big concern is that asda/tesco sell it at a loss to attract trade and activision still win.
I think I am probably just going to boycott this game altogether and all other activision games.
I will have operation flashpoint and mag instead.
Sure call of juarez does it
I bet the reason most don't implement it is because it will get used to take screen shots of glitches and make the game look bad
It is pay to play in Japan because the Japanese accepted paying to play. Just like all games in uk will become £55 if people accept paying that for modern warfare 2.
Gamers need to think before they spend. I would never pay to play and will not pay more than £40 for mw2 because doing so sets us all up for a massive rogering!
maybe they should address the £££'s respawning onto the price of their game. £55 i don't think so!
Absolutely no way I will pay that. How dare activision tell other companies to lower their prices while increasing their own. Just laughable.
I bet, other games will do well from this by lowering prices. Last Xmas tomb raider, fallout, prince of Persia, midnight club all sold relatively well as they were all widely available for £17 - £25 on the high street.
@ onanie
all i can say is terminator salvation.
this cannot come out fast enough.
day one windows delete for me.
it will be so simple and efficient knowing google.
everyone will support this in the industry.
I wonder what schemes microsoft will be working on right now to disrupt and undermine this product??? I think the google brand has become too well known and trusted though to be honest.
day one purchase for me. i remember when it first came out, oh the golden days of gaming.
a lot of people (ps2 owners and 360 owners) were on the fence about a ps3. this price point will end that
xbox has been at the "right" price long enough now - nearing saturation. nobody is waiting for 360 to get cheaper than it is
tbh if xbox gets any cheaper it will just make it look too cheap to the casual consumer.
ps3 sales will soar now, especially with the games line up
welcome to the dark side everyone!
