Long cut scenes? yes. 90 minutes? not by a long shot
I'm sorry man I know you have faith in what media and forum trolls tell you about hard drive install, but what you have said is very much incorrect. Pop in is a loading issue not a CPU/GPU issue. in the old days games would load levels into ram all at once. You would have levels separated by loading screens, but with games as large GTA this is impossible. so rather than cut you off for a loading screen every few minutes the game is streamed off the storage media (opticle or hard drive in l...
man I preordered it at game stop I hope they have it because if I find it elswhere I'm canceling my preorder.
So where can I buy it :P
You seem to have a basic lack of understanding on how live and PSN differ. Live uses a centralized infrastructure for things like voice chat and match making. The benefit is that online gaming is standardized. like the mcdonalds of online gaming you can expect a similar experience across games. the down side is that when the code is screwed up or the servers are overloaded, all games are effected. PSN s closer to PC gaming. the game desigers are responsible for writing their own network...
Hey nut, Windows live gold is alrady out. It's the same price as xbox live gold. They started by adding cross platform play now with games like UAW you have features cut out of the game unless you sign up for live gold. And he as much as stated here that they want to continue this expansion. PC games won't have any choice because MS controls the home PC market. Yeah I can read I'm just smart enough to know any corperate executive speaks in half truths.

so they are planning on forcing live on PC gamers... that right there is why I will never buy a 360. forcing people to pay for what they already get for free. i have voice chat, messaging, online play, and everything all i have to do is buy the game. I pay for my internet connection, now MS wants me to pay for merely the privelage of using my own computer i built and my own internet connection i pay for to play games. Sorry for sounding like a fan boy but that really ticks me off
LOL!!!!!! sorry doesn't add much to the conversation but you have me crackin up bubble for you
I just got my DVD from preordering the game. The prologue is almost all shots from MGS4. If that footage wasn't doctored then I have to say it will blow away every game released thus far. That includeds GOW, UT3, COD4, and Uncharted. The detail of it was increased dramatically from the texture of the rubble to Snakes hair and unlike the chopy videos released on PSN and elsewhere, these were close to if not 60FPS. Now I'm not one of these nutcases that thinks every games gotta be 60FPS to...
There one major issue this article doesn't seem to address. MSRP. Pricewatch.com is a site you use to find a product at the cheapest available price. Thats not the manufacturers suggested price. In fact the manufacturers suggested price has not changed. With the new models comming that were actually announced after HDDVD's demise MSRP is goig down from $400 to $300. I'll tell you whats going on. Demand has gone up. Noone wants 2 formats and now that there is one more people are buying...
GT is a sim. In fact it of the first real sims. The way you drive the car mimics how you would drive a real car. How it handles around corners, how accelerator and braking affects handling. The only thing it's missing is damage. It's like refusing to call a game a tactical shooter because you can't shoot through walls.
POG. Polyphony has already confirmed. GT5 will have car damage. They said they might even add it as a patch to prologe, but it will be in GT5.
Yeah I've played GT5P it looks just like the screens.
Well theres one thing you completely failed to mention. one thing that will make GT5 prologue look better than Grid. Grid is locked at 30fps, GT5P is 60FPS
Let the bribing of the press commence. It's funny I could be fired at my job for recieving gifts from a customer. They would call it a compromise of my objectivity. I wonder why the game industry gets away with it so freely.
you won't have too, and you shouldn't have too. PC does everything you can get on live, it's all done free, and more reliably, not to mention the games are cheaper on PC. I'm not saying PSN is on par with XBL right now, but if they get thier acts together and get home/ingame xmb out then it will be. That $5 a month would do nothing but pad thier wallets since all this software is p2p anyway. the only things servers do aside for some administration/database work is host the games/home. an...
It doesn't need to be first to be on par. On par means equal too. It's nice and all that xbox had it "first". but in all honesty they didn't have this first. I could do all this on a PC long before Xbox had it, and thats always been free too. The thing that has everyone here talking about it is that the PS3 will do it and not charge you for it were as MS always has. Honestly i think PSN already surpasses live as far as what you actually pay for. Online gaming on Live is almos...
your right most those features are already free. the onlything that you pay for is to play online. I guess the reason I really don't like live is that on a PC, Unless your playing an MMO, you get all these features that live has and they are free. and to top it off the Gaming on live is P2P. so on a free pc online game I get a deticated server with a deticated internet connection, voice chat, and with xfire the ability to invite or join friends in games. but on a pay to play live servic...
I do believe this is rubbish. Check this out from game pro.

Sure they are long as to be expected but not 90hrs worth.
