I believe you've just explained the Nintendo effect, whereby Nintendo takes a game and adds a control mechanism in the real world to make the game feel different when in fact its the same damn game.
I digress, because you're right about those Sony franchises except for being completely wrong. God of War is a great example. You say they are all the same, but someone who has played them all would say oh no they aren't. Each was produced by a different person and the...
People who play Pokemon, I mean full blown adults not just kids, are obsessed with this franchise and won't miss a single entry. That doesn't mean they jump on it as a new release, but they are knowledgable and feverishly devout. Nintendo knows this.
While Sony has an amazing cast of talented first party developers, Nintendo has these franchises that they treat like historical records, they will never change or deviate from the original by any extreme stretch of the...
I cannot wait for this game. I loved what I've played at the PlayStation Indie Arcade. Personification of shapes is the best...
Awesome list. I kinda want a new Klonoa.
My Target has had next to no Wii U games exposure aside from a huge section reserved for Skylanders.
quite the add-on, redoing all the levels just for Luigi.
Highly suspect that they would ever show such a sheltered secret during an ad. I would think they want audience participation at E3 to see everyone's faces say either "Wooooooooow" or "WTF is that?". Then the media frenzy that follows...
This might actually get me to care about sports again.
What is the point of this kind of abuse?
This game looks amazing. Great video at the end there.
Also, maybe we'll finally get a future where we can play multiplatform online gaming. PS3 and PC are doing it. I'm sure there is a Xbox360 to PC game, but I'm talking all systems go.
I would be interested in a cross-up FPS. CODvBF
If Capcom can do this with SNK and Tekken, then why can't something like this be done in the realm of first person shooters?
Woh, end of an era I guess.
The distance between my TV and my warm and cozy gaming spot is outside of 15', so the TV is not emitting light onto the surfaces in front of me as much as, say, one of my Move controllers emits.
Even in a tight space, where a game may put out more of a white glow in the immediate space, the light bar can emit colors to immerse you in the mood. Just another way the controller can be used as an output device.
I'm interested in OUYA for the new things it could potentially bring to my TV. That alone will be the challenge.
Emulation is cool, but I've had my fill of the classics. 15 years from now, I won't be looking back at this generation with an urge to play New Super Mario Bros U.
I hadn't considered the OUYA for emulation before. Not really been all that into playing the classics even though I own most of the ones I enjoyed even the slightest. Too many new games to consume all my free time.
I think it a little unfair to criticize the levels since they are the same as the PS3 version, but you talked about what was new in the Vita version and that is crucial.
Goozers, reads this.
From the images we've seen and the actual controller in action on stage at the announcement event in NY and on the Jimmy Fallon show, it doesn't appear to light up.
If we assume the touchpad's functionality is identical to the back touchpad on the Vita, there is multitouch but no press sensitivity. Though, Sony has confirmed that the DualShock 4 touchpad doubles as a clickable button.
IMO, whatever the action being performed in game is, it better ...
I hope that Nintendo doesn't release so many games at once that people can't afford them all. If anyone can space out first party titles it's Nintendo.
