this story takes place in japan so playing with Sony technology in it's motherland will take place more then once there. Now as far as Blu-ray goes. That kind've IF'y. The HD-DVD drive was not all the successful so why release a Blu-Ray drive.
I rather download new content like Calling all cars.
It's cheaper to buy an original Xbox and softmod and play ROMS off of that. I want more orignal arcade style games for my money, I'm tired of all the console makers trying to charge me $5 for a game that was okay back when I was going to the arcade.
Wheres THEMart?
I expected him to be the first one here with another " I told you so" comment and posting Attach rate numbers and other numbers.
I'll give it another 3 hours.
Most of what is happening to Sony is there fault. "We say when the next-generation begins" Blah, Blah, Blah. Lack of grade A title launch games and lack of online communtity content that they have been talking about since E3'05. But the machine itself is great. yeah right now 360 has an edge when it comes to overall content. But at least Sony is trying to correct that with product like Home, Little big planet, Warhawk and releasing game like Killzone 2, Heavenly sword and more. ...
Did you even hear the Podcast. All of 45 seconds was about the topic of MGS4.
*copied and pasted from a pervious post*
over a 30 second snippet of audio. "Production of MGS 4 will not be changed due to the 360 being out" That's as far as this snippet went.
Nowhere was there any confrimation that the game was in development for the 360 or was it even being considered.
Further more the podcast reveals that even Blu-Ray is a little short on space to...
the 20 extra gigs given are due to the fact that there is no more EE chip in the PS3. SO this could in sense could be a trade-off with no official announcement. "we'll give our consumers 20 extra gigs but the EE chip is gone"...maybe.
It's could be that simple.
So where do you work? Activision, THQ, Vivindi, or some other 3rd party publisher where they port code from the 360 to the PS3 and there for seeing what are basically sloppy seconds running on the PS3.
Fact is unless your working at Ninja theory, Factor 5, or any part of Sony you really haven't seen sh1t. PS3 is one incredible piece of hardware that has to be coded for from the ground up. Ports are always gonna look like sh1t cause the hardware is to different for a direct p...

Kojima said it...
J.T. You need to relax. How about you come out here to Cali. Email me we'll hook up and go smoke a blunt. A peace pipe if you will.
You need to chill and herbal rememdy is just what this gamer prescribed.
Well I wouldn't know about the amount of user on Gears since I don't have a 360, but Halo possibly took some away and most are probley people who were waiting for Halo and there for are playing the Beta.
As far as the launch Window, if both systems were released at the same time I think sony would've of took it. But as is the 360 did have a better window due to the simple fact it was next-gen first. It was a big jump from PS2 and Gamecube and Xbox. The PS3 has one game, Motors...
For the most part any sports game out right now runs at 60fps offline.
when online it slows down to 30fps. Main reason is that animation and other actions on-screen like the ball bouncing all the players running and play calling is information that needs to be sent and received on both ends. So in order to keep most of the gameplay functioning the way it does normally, developers cut the framerate to try to limit the amount of lag there is during gameplay. Now part of the lag is also...
Very true, Mass effect could very well topple everything the PS3 has right now, there is only one huge problem. It's a new IP, that is trying to do somthing different on a console known for mainly shooters. Now mainly anyone who post in favor of the 360 in this site will go buy this game, but no game on the 360 can be called a massive success except for Gears of War. Games like Dead Risen, Lost planet have had success but nothing to the level of Gears. Now to Date the PS3 has 2 games that ...
Even though 82k in units sold (last month) is awful the numbers are still in pace with what the 360 put out it's first year out. MS killed it's own machine in order to get a jump on the competition. So far it's paid off to some extent, they are the market leader for the time being. But how long did 360 consumers have to wait in order to get somthing worth the price of the console that was truely next-gen.
It was almost a whole year before GEARS arrived and took the gaming world by s...
and that's the way I'm getting my HD fix right now. I can get 1080i resolution on it so I usally play my PS3 on that, or I bring it to work and hook it up to one of the big ones here. CRT for the money can be a really great deal.
the success of the PS2 was only Okay. But that is not the case. There are still many PS fans out there that are waiting for more games and that is all that is holding them back from buying a PS3. And the games are coming. IF Sony can match and surpass 360 numbers for the 1st year and beat out the Wii in Japan and Europe (This in turn will boost their worldwide numbers) then no, the PS3 will find a way to succeed just like the PS1 & 2. But if this holiday season is a bust, and the Wii...
really varys from game to game. In a racing game our eye can't tell the difference, but the sense of speed is also cut do to that fact. A game running at 30fps has to be programmed extra tight in order to deliver a sense of speed that a game running at 60fps can deliver.
In action games, sport games, or any other games that have animations involving somthing human or machine, there is a huge difference.
Play any sports game offline for about a week, NBA, NHL, M...
You can just change your HDD yourself and there are actually instruction on the owners manual to do so. But for those that are not all to at ease with changing their HDD themselves 20 gigs more is just a big plus.
runs at about $50 (U.S.) That's the reason sony removed it from the European launch. And they also removed it here in the states, Starting in April (last Month). So anything manufactured after that will run PS1/2 games through emulation. But that means that Sony will be able to lower their price sooner then expected. Maybe even later this year around the holiday season.
"PS3 is the theater, 360 is a DVD, and the Wii is (can't remember)"
" I very will could not make a Movie for a theater to go straight to DVD without sacrifice..."
"MSG4 has always been made with the thought of being made for the theater and nothing else..."
"I am not going to say that making somthing for DVD is out of the question but MSG4 is not that project"
I believe that covers pretty much what Hideo Kojima had t...

Am the only one that posted on this story.

Overall I agree with you.
