I think they had to restrict it because the systems probably didn't have enough memory for a more robust character system to be added. This game is huge with tons of detail, something had to give.
1080p without aa is very noticeable. I hate playing without aa on 1080p. you mention killzone 4, the first thing I noticed about the game was the jagfest cause of the lack of AA. All games should have Good AA, it makes a world of difference.
It isn't the steam box, it's a 3rd party hardware. Valve haven't even revealed the steambox.
I never planed on buying a Vita but I'm a sucker for anything that is limited and looks good. When I saw this last week I just had to have one, and so I bought one and can't wait for it to arrive.

APU been available for pc's for a while, and has no advantages. People still going for separate CPU / gpu style. Why would it benefit consoles when it doesn't benefit pc?
