You can still use vr. With 3d for these things a separate image is displayed to each eye. You may miss some depth perception but that would be all. The main draw of vr is being able to track your head so you can look
around your virtual world

Yep Bioshock 1, Infinite, XCom etc. they are all given to you as steam codes.
Psychonauts WAS fully 3d and $18m is not as much as you would think Considering a low wage for someone in the games industry is $50,000 and you would want a dev time of 2-3 years that's at least $150,000 per person. Double fines simple kickstarter adventure game got over $3 million dollars and they are struggling with that budget.

4K would be very impractical from a development standpoint. Texture resolutions would have to increase by at least 4x to compensate which will mean that the PS would need MUCH more ram
