this site never fail to get hits for again writing a Vita bashing article
I think they can do e-magazine publishing. Since many are moving to digital. Although many things can be found on the internet. But I do believe there are still some people that actually prefer reading all their needs from say a magazine or such. Given the popularity of tablets and smartphones. That is definitely still something viable than to publish on actual physical books. Just a thought.
well said article. unfortunately the gaming scene is a total disaster in this generation. It might be normal to see fanboy wars going on for years. But it is just sad to see many gaming journalist being very unprofessional these days.
Are you expecting it to be "Love Erection" instead? :P
if the game is being reviewed in the rightful way. unfortunately a lot of reviewers seems to have a problem when doing Vita review. They always seems to be picking on the wrong thing or even just being bias with the platform for some reason when they cant find proper flaws to bash on. And yes IGN is being one of them.
This game on the other hand from my personal comment is, one of the best game on Vita without doubt. If one is expecting this to be similar to classic RO might ...
well this is how it have turn out to be unfortunately. Almost everybody hate Vita for some reason. Only those that truly learn the beauty of it will adore it. Most importantly being able to appreciate it in the right way. Sad thing is most does not seems to have learn even after 6 months. I think a lot of them did not realize that handheld is always a handheld. Console would always remain as console. It's just like console will never match the fidelity of a PC (graphically wise). handheld...
I give this game a 8.5/10 easily. Quite a delightful experience for a handheld game. There is no choice as it seems like there are just way too many Vita haters out there. That includes IGN.
as i have said multiple times thou it is so funny to get disagree about it in my comment. IGN's scoring system is retarded and screwed these days. Complaining on the wrong thing and demerit them on the wrong way. Also the way they give out score makes no sense most of time. Extreme inconsistent. Like example SFxT on console = 9/10 and Vita gets 6.6/10 for the same game while SSF4 on console gets a 9/10 and SSF43D on 3DS gets 8.5/10. There is an obvious biasness there. To me, their score i...
@raWfodog
Actually it is more on branding hating than anything else. When 3DS is out with a 250 price tag, what most people are complaining is lack of Mario games and games rather than the price tag itself. But with Sony's case, despite fact that when comparing hardware to hardware, it is very clear who is more superior. Yet people are complaining over the price tag. If we are to talk about no games on Vita. 3DS face the same shit at launch too. From an owner of both 3DS ...
as much as i believe Halo 4 would be a good game without doubt despite it is taken over by 343. its a game that has always been in my day 1 list since announced. but i would never believe in IGN's review. their inconsistency with the way they give out scores is obvious to contain fanboyism within each review they write especially these days.
edit: wow so fast and i get 1 disagree. does not matter. i already prove how inconsistent their reviews were in other thread. so for...
well not that I get it either... some reviewers these days are just a little out of their mind when doing reviews on handheld games. maybe it is so close that they have forgotten its a handheld not a console. yet they can compare it head to head and use some of those points to demerit. how sad these days gaming has gone to.
agree... even with the reduce traffic. some times the game is just running so fast that you couldnt react fast enough to dodge certain stuffs. pretty amazing for a handheld game looking at how much they manage to retain from the console big bro version. one who has to played it will know. seeing screenshot is just not enough.
because there are just too many games in the upcoming list... not sure about your case. but as for me I have games that i need to buy from multiple platforms. 360, PS3, 3DS and Vita. When deciding to get a game with that much consoles some things just need to let go. There wont be time for some people to be able to play everything even if they buy all that comes out.
Forza > Simulation? Ok the rest are pointless to read...
I am one who have xbox. but I am one who actually went for NFS over Forza Horizon. My regular game store was pushing Forza to me during launch day. But I told them I think I am looking forward more to NFS considering both of them are "open world" racing game. Just dont see the point of getting 2 similar type of games so close to each other in release. Just like how I choose not to buy MOH:WF because there are Halo 4 and COD:BO2 coming up in just matter of 2 - 3 weeks after. There ar...
no thanks. i have no interest in buying a console every year before the hardware get fully optimized. rather buy a pc if i need to change hardware so frequent.
be it same game or different game. in the first place the handheld version should never be compared to the console version in a review. maybe just for general discussions on their differences is fine. but not at a point to penalize the Vita or get demerit from the scoring perspective. that is an extremely unfair thing. it is like almost no console games should ever get a 9/10 or 10/10 because when there is a PC counterpart the console usually suck from technical perspective. but hardly that...
what's new? it is always the case of anything Sony, there will be someone bashing it over just anything. Same game as console, people complaining that Vita does not have game. Making 2 different games. People complain it's worst than the console counterpart. I mean seriously.... If they are that good, they will be writing a good game instead of writing game reviews.
their sfxt review proves it all. giving negative remarks on something that another game have done worst yet it got a 8.5 and sfxt did better but gets a 6.6. In any case, i dont give a shit about them even giving this game a 1/10. most importantly is the person who buy it must enjoy it. their review means nothing to someone who actually enjoy the game.
Good hardware must have good software developers too. Just like how in the past when many are complaining about how hard is it to develop for PS3 and how 360 being superior in hardware design. Let's look at it again today. How about taking a look at Uncharted on PS3? You almost see a leap in every release from 1 > 2 > 3. And even the most recent Last of Us shown break through when compared to UC3. As much as how devs or gamers alike says about how good 360's architecture is supe...
