COuld someone verify what the Roster Update actually is?
I'm not saying the 360 sales will drop, but compared the the PS3's huge increase in sells I woul say sony has a good chance of making up lost ground and coming away with some dignity after this holiday season.
Halo isn't going to sell consoles. The game itself will sell millions of copies, but the people who bought the broken 360 bought it at launch in aticipation for HALO 3. So unless people are waiting to buy 360's for Halo 3, Sony will win the holiday season based on the hype they created at E3.
The hype of the limited price drop has got many of people buying it before the price is back to 600 with the new standalon model. The sales of course are going up. The thing is if they drop the 80GB down to 500 the sales will continue up through the holiday season. Other than that Sony has it's worked cut out for itself trying to regain some loss ground.
This christmas season, I believe the PS3 will catch up to the 360 or lower the gap to an actually race because of the price drop, and the FANTASTIC games coming out. MGS4, GTA4, and Assasin's Creed are going to rock!!
Sony, I believe, is going to have to drop the price more than $100. They should drop it to 150$, which may be the reason why sony president denied the 100$ price cut becasue it is actually going to be more of a drop by the end of E3. Plus, with the great game coming out this holiday season you need to console to match up better to other consoles in the price column.
P.S. Who doesn't want Assasin's creed anyway. ;]
Man, I don't have a PS3 yet(waiting price drop), but I didn't notice how bad old-gen looked. I frequetly play San Andreas, but this just makes it seem so ugly. lol
I can't wait for GTAIV!!
