Instead of thinking that by simply being indie it makes a game inferior, just ignore the word, the connotation you've assigned it, and enjoy them for what they bring. What else is there to know? Ground Zeroes was basically a gameplay demo, there was a gameplay demonstration shown during a Konami presentation the other day, and the trailer/screenshots give you an impression of the overall feel the game is trying to achieve.

The merit of horror is showing ugly material, whether that be the ugly side of human nature or whatever, and making it aesthetically appealing to our senses. This definitely looks like a horror. The concept art shows a heavy influence from H.R. Giger, and the world looks dark and surreal.

Looked it up and it's been reported to be up to 6, so that makes the 16 player party chat dream kind of irrelevant. Wish it was more, but that's a solid number of people to round up. What I'm really interested in is how the different classes are gonna affect the dynamic of the group. One more month (supposedly) till the beta so I guess we'll find out then.

The implementation of 16 player party chat last patch and these raids has me smiling so hard. This is an experience almost unheard of on consoles and it's enough to get excited for alone. Back in the day when WoW was at its peak, raiding and looting with a bunch of people was good times.
The attention to detail is what wows. You see the guy you switched uniforms with that had his girlfriend in the other block dead with his girlfriend next to him in the level where they raid the hideout. You would think that he was a character plugged in to move the story, but they brought him back hours later and humanized him more than I've ever seen any other AAA game give life to their characters in a while. Machine Games cared for their creations and you can tell.
Great review. I just finished the game today and it's easily one of the best games I've played in a long, long time. Really looking forward to Machine Games' next title.
Gaming needs more 80s satire shooters with neon everything, cyborgs, and hilariously corny dialogue. Blood Dragon was honestly one of the best experiences I had last gen. I hope Far Cry 4 follows in FC3s footsteps by making another memorable villain, and then follows it up with another stand-alone dlc with a campy theme.
