Famous last words of former EA developer.
How can you say theyre on the right track? They've been getting progressively worse and all Phil does is say what people want to hear without any actions so far. They're on the wrong track until they start putting their money where their mouth is.
Terrible. Lackluster. Only two things that come to my mind.
It wins my most over rated game of the year award.
No, but I wish EA would go away. At least their high level people driving their greed.
And how regulated are movies?
I'm just saying that if you start regulating what can go into a game it opens the door for more government power to say something else can't be in a game. I think the far better solution is people boycotting these types of practices.
The only thing im worried about with law getting involved is if they tackle this then what's from stopping them producing more legislation in the future regulating how games are made. For example what if some lawmakers don't like you performing illegal acts in game or don't like a hot issue being portrayed in a game. I could definitely see some lawmakers trying to get involved and infringing on freedom of speech and art where it comes to games.
It needs to go back to it's roots and focus more on the story rather than graphics and open world. What's the point of having a huge pretty open world if it just feels empty.
They all start running together after a while.
If Microsoft is responsible for modern RPGs then I'm blaming them for how mediocre they have become. Most RPGs can't even come close to the classics.
Maybe not on the switch. That would be terrible.
Also, with net neutrality in the balance I'd hold off on any debates until we see how that plays out.
Then the battle has just begun. People aren't going to like their hobby being infiltrated by companies that are just trying to nickel and dime them or even worse set up pay to win games. If EA had it's way battlefront would have a class system in battlefront 2 where only the people who paid a lot of money could do well.
Lol I see them overflowing everywhere I go. What are they talking about.
Went into th article expecting a Microsoft bias bashing against ps4 since it's gamingbolt and wasn't disappointed.
I wouldn't get too far ahead. Nintendo is known to have slumps with games releasing. And going forward third party support which is already small is going to go down as developers push for better graphics and gameplay that the switch will struggle with. Porting to the switch isnt just a simple port they have to tweak it to get it to run well on the switch. Just look at Rime.
Also, with the next gen console probably going to get announced within the next couple of years...
You do realize that Xbox is the console that has had problems being considered the media box in the past right?
Maybe that's not entirely bad. I miss the single player experiences. Not that they aren't around anymore, just aren't like they used to.
Depends on how involved EA is with the title.
By killing a console before the end of it's life cycle and delaying the big games that were supposed to come to the Wii u so they could launch on the switch. Also, anything Zelda or Mario is going to have massive fan fare.
So much attention to detail that they forgot to add a story to give the game more purpose.
