Its obvious that Nintendo had a relaxed approach to marketing the Wii U last year. with all those Billions of Dollars, they could of EASILY promoted the Wii U EVERYWHERE, just like they did with the Wii. The question is - WHY did they have this relaxed approach?

Listen, Nintendo are KILLING it right now, they have NET profited ALOT more than Sony over these past few years, with HUGE sales of DS, 3DS & Wii. Its only fair that Sony make some profit aswell. Sony NEEDS PS4 to be on top this generation, Nintendo does not need the Wii U to be on top, they will do just fine with being second place(if that happens). If all consoles sell well, then its good the gaming industry as a whole.

Microsoft have there own cloud servers. They don't need Gaikai. Like I said, if this takes off in a major way, physical copies of future PS & Xbox branded games could slow down considerably, just like DVD's & CD's have. Sony has lost A LOT of money on their consoles in the past. If they can make HUGE profits off this, without the need to make a console, why wouldn’t they?

There is a difference between "Very Badly' & "Badly". I would say the VITA is selling very badly. Wii U is selling badly, but sales are starting to pick up. PS4 & Xbox One wont continue to sell Millions in 24 hours after the holidays are over. after all the excitement is over.There sales will slow down aswell.

If other companies were to bring out similar services to all other devices, this could get more interesting. Say a company goes ahead, but brings Indie games & PC versions of third party games available to stream via subscription & then the App is available on the Wii U (like netflix is), then there will be no issue with Third party games on the Wii U...hmmmm
