BF3 and BF4 are amazing - if you don't like them then that is more than likely because you don't like challenging gameplay and more realistic gun play than COD. That absolutely does not warrant saying that they never make good games and that Battlefront will suck.

I think that the "I know there are issues of car manufacturers being resistant to damage being added to vehicles but other racers have successfully added damaged to named manufacturers" was debunked by some dev a few years back saying that is not the case
Gotta think of the younger gen gamers here...when fallout 3 and New Vegas came out...kids that were 8-12 years old probably weren't playing them...now they are the crowd of mid teen to 20 and are more apt to be able to have access to the games and try them out.

I am just running a GTX 680 and an AMD 8350 - albeit not at 60FPS but still getting 40FPS on average on 1080p and ultra settings (No nVidia HairWorks though) but every thing else is on Ultra. My wife is running an AMD 1100T Black Edition with (2) GTX 470's in SLI and getting great performance as well on Ultra w/ No HairWorks. For such a technically demanding game with amazing graphics it was definitely optimized VERY well for a broad range of setups :D
Yea I am in that boat - luckily though, my wife is beside me playing as well lol - so I don't have to appease her needs if she is "bored" or whatever (she's loving the shit out of the game as well) and our kiddos are at a self sufficient age for the most part but still gotta get up and interact with them time and again so we don't feel too guilty lol
I am not sure how many hours I've spent in the game - I would guess 30-35 thus far and I am only a level 7 and the main story quests I am completing the Baron quests. I can't help but explore and listen to all the story elements and try for all the side quests, once I leave an area I have a hard time going back to complete it. At this rate I am going to be at the 150-200 hour mark I would imagine.
You can get the damn game on G2A.com for only like $30 bucks...no way I would pirate this game - knowing how good it will be (well is) how could you? So, I agree with a lot of people that if someone pirates a game of this caliber, it was probably not going to be a sale in the first place, or, may push them to buy it anyway because its just that good.
I don't really get the saltiness for some of the comments for downgrading - it's pretty much the norm and everyone should know initial gameplay vids are what the devs are trying to accomplish and just a reference - it looks like they came damn close to accomplishing what they wanted the game to look like.

ITS ABOUT F*CKING TIME!! Tiger Woods did this so many years back and it was VERY impressive back then, I can only imagine how great this will be (if its not generic). All sports games, this should be a standard feature in my opinion.

As you can tell from your disagree's...Destiny is in fact NOT "on thin ice" just because there are spotty reviews out there not giving this game the score's that many feel it deserves, does not mean it is on "thin ice".
Looking at review sites that gives the game a 6/10 also gave games like Transformers a 6/10 and there is NO WAY IN HELL that Destiny deserves a score that low along side a game that is nearly unplayable garbage.
Got my console on release at midnight and my thumb sticks have held up well. I don't play religiously or anything but I do play a pretty good amount. I have ZERO issues with my DS4, battery life aside, its my favorite controller of all time.
