It's more that its something Microsoft has done out of listening to the most requested features, and making it happen.
It might not be for everyone, but you cant deny that people still play older games, for various reasons. Its as easy as putting the disk in, and its free if you already own the game.

Yep, that's Ps4's selling point this holiday.
The controller is the difference.
I expect it to perform better than the Xbox One controller, with games designed with Keyboard/mouse as default input, but still think keyboard/mouse will be preferable.
I'm finding myself more interested in Syndicate than any other multiplat announced for this holiday. Weird.
