People need to understand that it's not supposed to be an upgrade to the 3DS, it's a different version of the 3DS for people who don't have one yet and don't want to spend money for a feature they aren't going to use. Stop saying "The 2DS is pointless, you can turn off the 3D."
Agreed.
Wii Party U isn't shovelware either. Being a party game that isn't Mario Party doesn't make it shovelware.
"I’m suing Nintendo. Making a 2D handheld that nobody wants is an idea they stole from the PS Vita"
Too good.
It hasn't even been a day and I already can't stand people saying the 2DS is pointless because you can turn off the 3D on a 3DS. People need to understand that it isn't an upgrade to the 3DS. It's a less expensive model for people who don't have one yet.
It looks even worse with one screen. What would be the point of getting to touch the top screen be anyway? It wouldn't do anything.
I changed my mind a few minutes ago, I actually want one.
But I still don't understand the button layout. Why is it so high? It'll be like the N64 controller. I'm fine with how it is. But I have absolutely no idea what they were thinking.
I just decided I'd rather get a 2DS than a 3DS XL. I may miss the 3D, but it doesn't last long before I can't even see it anymore, so, maybe I won't.
Plus, the 2DS comes in red and white, which is a color combo for the handheld I've wanted for a long time.
I want to get one.
So it's shaped like a piece of bread? What's the big deal?
That IS cinda freaky.
No it isn't.
So that's why it isn't clamshell.
Now an answer to why the circle pad and buttons are so high would be nice.
Probably the same reason they made the bottom screen smaller in the first place.
I'm having a hard time picturing that.
I have my 3DS open all the way when I play it. That's apparently weird.
Anyway, I'm betting in a year or so, Nintendo will make a new handheld called the 2DS Clam which will be a 2DS but clamshell.
The 2DS and X and Y are being released the same day. If there's no bundle I'll be really surprised.
I cinda want to get one.
On the third and last paragraph, the writer is really overreacting. Especially the third one.
I understand why they made this, they want to give people that don't like the 3D feature a less expensive product, but why did they design it so badly? Maybe the button layout isn't as bad as I think it is. But why can't it be closable?
Couldn't MGR2 just get a different developer?
