Well, I really wanted to include an American game in contrast to the Japanese one, and I wanted a recent game. Also, I don't think there was a whole lot of lead-up to the twist, besides the u-boat from nowhere that was in Panama. Vaguely similar, more idea similar than notes similar, and it's ten seconds out of the video. Even then, saying "Mario Music" in general is from the 40's is misleading, as this would apply to one song, not all of them. I am not amused.
