now i get it!
they are the only ones so far detailing so many aspects of their engine. and since it is a proprietary engine no one has seen before, i am intrigued.
"HDR-Rendering, shader simulations developed especially for Wii in order to display ice, heat and water (realistic reflections and refractions), an ultra-fast particle system for amazing snow storms, soft particles for realistic fog and smoke, depth of field, motion blur, dynamic soft shadows, spherical harmonics lighting, as w...
this is what I was thinking. Rather than finding other ways to MAKE UP the costs...why not try spending less money? :O shocking, I know...but it is disgusting how much money is thrown around and wasted on absolute trash.
I echo the comments I make when referring to the movie industry whenever the RIAA bittches about high costs and profits.
MAKE A BETTER PRODUCT.
Why do movie studios and game devs ALWAYS assume that every game/movie you dump millions int...
gta4 was a step down from san andreas.
a lot of SA seemed broken and tacked on. There was so much clutter in that game (that barely made 12fps in a good number of areas) that it totally detracted from the game. There were some awesome ideas (turf wars, getting fat, etc) but they weren't very well implemented and would probably be better suited to another game. the devs realised this and remedied it for GTA4. A much cleaner, more concise experience that plays more like a story and...
An analog stick will obviously help with that much more than a game like wario ware or the like where you manipulate objects with at least a pseudo 3d controller
some of the comments on this site are a damn riot!! hahahaha keep it coming kids!@
pirate this game JUST to see if their systems can handle it
crysis part 2 sales wise for sure.
When devs learn to put more effort into the console versions (read: the versions that actually sell) maybe they wont keep repeating the same mistakes
better be a sequel with online coop
the first game was amazing. Ppl probably got pissed because it kicked their asses. It was great zombie killing fun. Not many games can match its weapon selection either.
TRUTH.
thank you!!! I don't get why people automatically assume that ps3's cell makes it more powerful FOR GAAAAMMMIIINNGNGGG than the 360.
All things considered, the systems perform VERY closely in actual game situations.
The devs in sony's pocket love to spout about how they NEEDED blu ray to fit everything in.
What ever happened to running some R&D to find some GOOD NEW compression algorithms. There are new video and audio codecs c...
this is true
but R2 could change all that
open jam ====>
enjoy
go be a tool elsewhere please
you left out the "game looks better on 360" option
funny how that is
that as soon as FFXIII went multiplatform, FF VERSUS XIII was the new great thing.
The comments slowly drifted to "yeah FFXIII looks ok, but im REALLY looking forward to VERSUS!!!"
ugh
(for the record, resistance was pretty lame and awkward..but I can't knock Drake's in any way. That game was incredible. R&C, same deal)
+1
you hit the nail on the head there.
"the game i desperately wanted to be good sucked....SO ALL YOUR GAMES HAD BETTER SUCK TOO!!! GRRR"
sad
thanks for letting us know that you have no idea what you're talking about!
Great opinion though! thanks for that
never claimed the booster packs didn't offer anything new. But worth the kind of cash you could drop on an entire other game...while other devs are offering upgrades that are 50x what warhawk is getting? no.
Not by a long shot. If you have fun with them, that's awesome. power to you. I'll take free updates and will support that over paying 10$ for a map or 2 and the odd vehicle any day. I want the devs to see that if you offer FREE content, the people will love you. And i WANT th...
it ENNOYS me when people live so deep in a fantasy world that their opinion somehow dictates the trends for the rest of the world
kids these days
just felt like repeating that eh?
worried people didn't hear you the first few times?
The best supported title this generation DEFINITELY goes to Burnout Paradise. Extra missions, extra modes, ADDING BIKES!!, day/night cycles, AND weather FX. Also a rumored AIRPLANE expansion...
best part? ALL FREE. Criterion is showing DEVs how to REALLY win over an audience. Not charging 10$ for little "booster packs" to further segregate the online community for that game, since some players will have bought the "addons" and MANY will have not.
Im not sure what your buddy did to have the dvd pass through the plastic tray and into the hardware...but maybe he should be hangin with cris angel or copperfield?
