Exactly! Hearing this is the final blow for me. I myself was interested in the Wii U, but skeptical because it seems like most of the hardcore games will just be ports of games that'll have been out for at least six months on the other platforms before coming to the Wii U.
After hearing that there won't be a centralized online network I say Nintendo has failed at gaining the hardcore audience. I myself would much rather buy the new Xbox for Halo than buy a Wii U ...
@Tenko
Lol the PS3 is just as easy to develop as the 360 is now. Third party devs were just stupid when the PS3 first launched. Now they understand the PS3's architecture and have no problem developing for it.
Putting a more powerful Cell and more SPUs would be the best thing for Sony to do since devs know how to develop for it and it'll be FULLY backwards compatible with the PS3.
If Sony and Nintendo wanted to then they could easily have cross-platform play between their consoles. At least the PS3 and Wii U. With the PS4 it is another story because it may be in another league, just like the PS3 and Wii, so games wouldn't be equal across the platforms.
Anyways as a gamer I think this is one of the DUMBEST things Nintendo could have done. It really does show they don't know squat about what gamers want from an online network service. This just ...
For the most part people who think Uncharted 2 is better than Uncharted 3 obviously didn't support Uncharted 2 at launch. Uncharted 3 is how Uncharted 2 started out as, just a LOT better.
It takes skill again, unlike Uncharted 2 now.
Yeah it is quite obvious they're hinting at development on a future console. The engine that runs the Uncharted franchise can't really be improved much more after Uncharted 3. Plus the engine is already pushing the PS3 to it's limits. It would just be a waste of time to make a new engine when they already have one that can do everything.
This comes at no surprise though. The PS4 does exist and it'll be out sooner than later. ND is going to want to take adva...
@young
If it makes you feel any better I'm level 38, almost 39. I've played since around seven the night the beta came out. I usually go on really long runs though almost every day.
I'm also pretty good though. I usually get between a four and six k/d every game.
The only true Uncharted 2 vets are the ones who supported the game from launch up until 1.05. I played the hell out of the game during that time period and loved the hell out of it.
After the patch though I just gave up with it. The game was ruined by it. I tried multiple times to get back into, but never could.
Uncharted 3 so far takes what made Uncharted 2's MP pre-1.05 so amazing and adds to it content that increases the depth of it.

Exactly the twenty seconds go by really fast. If the enemy team isn't all in the same area than you won't be getting many kills.
Plus the controls are really lose and it is quite easy to lose sight of the bugs.
The RPG kickback will almost always net more kills, however the Creepy Crawler kickback is just a lot more fun to use.
When it works. I got it working last night and man the game is AMAZING. It is just like how Uncharted 2 was at launch, but taken to the next level.
A LOT of people are probably pissed right now, however once you guys experience the game without any issues you'll be hooked.
@CommonSense
It took me around two and a half hours to download AND install ALL of inFamous, which is just over seven gigs.
It'll only take half an hour max for me to get the whole thing downloaded and ready.
My internet isn't that fast either and my PS3 downloads everything over Wi-Fi, plus it was literally right after the Welcome Back package was launched, so there was a LOT of stress on the server at that time.
Man the article is so wrong.
It doesn't even mention that the playlists will be changing three times during the two week beta. Each time new gametypes are added while others are removed. There are also THREE maps in the beta, not just two. One can NOT upload videos to Youtube and/or Facebook, the feature will be available at launch though.
If one wants to know the correct details of the beta just visit the official FAQ.

Exactly. If it goes to the 360 then I'm not going to buy it. Rockstar has already screwed Sony over too many times. If they do it this one more time I'm done with them.
However I have a feeling maybe he was hinting at a Vita version. Was it ever announced as a PS3 exclusive? This game could've always been a Vita game and we just never knew it. That could explain why we've not seen anything about it since it is on a console that has just recently been fully ...
Well everyone who has been a loyal Sony fan does have PS+ when the beta comes out.
It also would depend on where one works and what publisher they have.
ONE guy's experience can NOT be taken as fact for the WHOLE industry. Who really cares if this ONE guy has had a bad experience? THOUSANDS of other have gotten into the industry and have had a great time for YEARS now.
ONE guy's opinion can NEVER be taken as fact. I can't believe how ignorant some of the comments on here are.
True. I was actually a little hyped for the Wii U when I heard that a new SSB was for sure. However it sounds like it'll be at LEAST three years before it comes out. By that time the PS4 will be out and I'll be investing mostly in that.
I'm not fully sold on the Wii U anyways. If Nintendo can actually make a well balanced and working online with SSB I'll most likely get it. By the time it comes out the Wii U will probably have a price drop anyways.
Also what is the point of having this article? We've known about this for MONTHS now. It was shown in the MP reveal trailer that the beta would be coming out for PS+ subscribers on June 28.
I don't see why something like this would be approved.
You could've got it at the soonest on June 3rd. Thus you'll have it though the third of July. You'll be able to fully play BOTH the Uncharted 3 beta and the Journey beta (assuming it is for PS+).
Who would have thought there would be a new weapon in a new zombie map? That has NEVER happened before. /s
@sidar
Lol so I'm not allowed to have an opinion.
The original Mario games were AMAZING IMO. They were something new and there was nothing out there that could compete with them.
The issue is that the franchise hasn't changed much over the years and story wise it is becoming more and more childish. They just no longer appeal to ME.
You third sentence doesn't make any sense either. Hate as much as you like, I don&...
Lol built in mic. The sound quality is going to be SO GOOD!/s
Also there is NOT going to be a centralized friend list. This video chat function will most likely be an app on the system itself, which'll have a friend list for itself. However friends you meet in different games will also have to become friends in this "console" friend list. Plus that'll require them to not be in a game otherwise they'd be connected to a different network.
