Dont know what to say here, saddens me that people have such short attention spans. That or they just want to believe this.
Cant help but think SE are how you say retarded, indeed I love that word but it is the only word I am able to think of to describe them. They are giddy over 360 doing well for about 10 weeks and now believe that it is going to do well in Japan. All those JRPG the 360 has received and 3 years later the consoles is yet to break 1 million in Japan.
On the other hand PS3 is a HD console which is also doing less then stellar in the land of the rising sun but much better then 360 yet ...
The only thing I care about is FFXIII being of quality, could not care less about it going on another platform. I take what SE say with a grain on salt these days though but I do think both the PS3 and 360 version will be optimized. There are actually some people out there doing flips as more people get to play the game........I know crazy world.
Of course they will be a price cut soon and of course Sony will deny it, they know business and do not want to jeopardize any Christmas sales. That said a price drop in February worldwide looks right on the cards, Killzone 2 releases for EU and NA, FFXIII demo, Yakuza 3 for Japan.

MS have worked very hard to make some inroads in Japan but fact of the matter is that it is too little too late. 3 years and it got to 800K consoles, that is nothing to be proud of after have so many exclusive JRPG while the main rival has had none and it double the price.

Outselling the PS3 for a few weeks by a few thousand units simply shows how badly 360 is doing in Japan, this is seen as astonishing news. Not only that but in the last few weeks PS3 already made up for all the gains 360 made for the few weeks and then some.

All I know is that for all upcoming weeks Sony will be laughing there bums off. The hard p[arty for them is over, not the good times are going to roll for them in Japan. PES 09 next week, WKC December, FFXIII demo in March (it will sell systems, believe it), full game end of the year, RE5 etc etc etc.
Some of those multi plat but will be why people purchase PS3's in Japan, Sony better not get complacent again and should tear apart the 360 from now on.
La Chance it is not a good idea to compare games now to 10 years ago, PS3 has moved on in terms of technology yet 360 is stuck in the past. People bringing up that multiple discs were not a problem in the 90's simply shows why blu-ray was an ace decision by Sony.

Square Enix are indeed retarded, no other word can be used to explain then. SE support the game selling worst where there games sell best, indeed give yourself time to digest that. So they support the 360, hardly support the PS3 and most intriguing of all, they ignore the best selling home console this gen.
