I loved RDR as much as the next guy but its really nothing more than GTA set in western times.
There havent been 40+ games getting 40/40... Now I know you are making things up. 10-15 MAX over the years.
And how many of those which got 40/40 are western games Vampiric? I cant think of one..
For a western game to get such praise in Japan is an achievement.
Crysis was made exclusively for PC only whilst GTA was an enhanced (used loosely) port of a console game..

For me, metacritic has a far greater bearing for music.
They can crap music and they laud a great album. So you actually genuinely get a scale between 40-90 regularly with no concessions made.
Gaming tends to hover between 70-95 (with some exceptions) and at times I can notice a large difference in quality between an 80 game and a 90 game. At other times, none at all. That just shouldnt be.
TBH I dont think it was a minority which didnt like FF13. A large amount of people Ive spoken to didnt enjoy it for what it was worth.
This maybe shouldve stayed in alpha testing (in-house). Betas should be more polished than this.
So many problems, bugs, glitches ive come across. One of the most unoptimised betas ive ever played.
From what i did manage to play, i loved. But that doesnt include the massive slowdowns I had, the 6 times I had to soft reset my ps3 and the issues with some of the game modes (particularly siege in co-op).

3 maps, numerous game modes - we're pretty much getting a PSN game's worth of content.
Those graphics are excellent.
Its good to see what the 3ds is capable of when a developer has put some time and effort into making a game exclusively for the system.

Meh Rockstar employees would get paid craploads. I also saw a vid of the amount of talent you have to have to get a job with them.
You want the big bucks, be prepared to work hard. In the end, the results speak for themselves - each and every one of their games is of impeccable quality.
