BloodBorne was amazing. The combat was easily the best of all of the souls games.
Unfortunately, BloodBorne, in comparison to the souls games, lacked a bit of lore, content, armor, weapons, characters, etc.
Not to say it wasn't a brilliant game. All I can say is I am very excited for the BloodBorne expansion and a possible BloodBorne 2.
Troy Baker for all Male characters.
Laura Bailey for all Female characters.
We now have the same voice cast as at least half of localized JRPGs
@RPGrinder
Smash Direct was fantastic, and really really exciting to watch. But since everything announced in it, with the exception of a few DLC stages, came out on the same day. Because of this, the Smash Direct didn't provide ANYTHING to be excited about.
Treehouse provided some awesome footage of various games people were already excited for, but it didn't announce anything new. So it didn't really get people excited for things they weren'...
Sony have said multiple times that they consider the Vita a legacy system and will not develop any AAA games for it.
But they have also said that this does not mean the system is dead. Many third party developers and indie developers are still developing games for it.
So the vita isn't dead, it just won't be getting first party support.
But none the matter, if you have a vita and a ps4, you can play all ps4 games on your vita. So at l...
I'm sick of these series remasters coming out one game at a time.
Microsoft: "Let's release Gears of War Ultimate Edition for $40 and it only includes Gears 1 instead of 1, 2, 3, and Judgment."
Sony: "Let's release God of War 3 Remastered for $40 and it only includes God of War 3 instead of the God of War Saga."
Come on... I can get both Gears of War and God of War 3 for less than $5. Or even the whole series o...
I'm not blinded by nostalgia nor am I on drugs. So Sony's conference did not impress me.
People who loved FF7, Shenmue 3, and liked Ico and Shadow of the Colossus loved the Sony conference.
People who didn't really care for the games mentioned above didn't like the Sony conference.
Everything there just did one of the following: 1. Ride on peoples nostalgia, 2. Were already announced and shown off before E3 and didn't bring anything new, or 3. Looked like it was made by developers on drugs
I don't expect FF7 until 2017, which is the 20th anniversary of FF7.
Haven't played SotC. I have played a bit of Ico and I found it to be very dull and boring. Beautiful as hell, but I did not like the gameplay at all. Last guardian looks just like Ico. So I am not excited for a game that looks like a game that bored the hell out of me.
Not everything MS showed interested me. But this year, MS announced more products I am interested in than any other conference.
XBO backwards compatibility
Fallout 4 Mod Support
I have never been a Microsoft gamer. Sony has always been my platform of choice.
Even I thought Sony's conference this year was terrible.
Yes.
The Last guardian didn't look fun at all.
FF7 is one of the most overrated games of all time.
Shenmue 3 looked okay.
Horizon looked fun but really odd.
Don't care for arcade fighters.
Only artistic people will care for Dreams.
Arkham Knight has been known for a while and didn't bring anything new and exciting to this conference
The only stealth game I need is Metal Gear Solid
At least No...
Please announce localizations of the Dragon Quest 3DS games... There are 6 of them, and 4 of them I really want.
BloodBorne mostly lacked content. It had the least amount of content out of all of the souls games. Not as many characters, not as many side quests, not as many trophies, not as many weapons and armor, etc.
But the content was really its only major flaw. Everything else was amazing. Hell, BloodBorne still has a lot of content compared to many other games out there.
As far as gameplay goes, it is by far my favorite Souls game as well.
It is a very good reason to buy a PS4, and I doubt it will get a PC remake, as Sony published it and owns the trademark as well.
I actually played the game more for the characters and story, so I am actually not looking forward to less cutscenes.
It isn't a remaster, nor is it a remake. It is a reboot.
Remasters are games that are given visual and audio touch-ups and maybe some trophy/achievement and streaming support. Maybe some small additional content. Overall it has very minor changes outside of visuals. For example, Devil May Cry HD Trilogy.
Remakes are games that keep the same core story, characters, locations, items, etc, but have drastically different visuals and audio, quite a bit of new ...
Metroid 3DS
Golden Sun 4
Golden Sun 1-3 Remakes
New 3DS Zelda game
New Earthbound and Star Tropics game
A new 3d platformer
Not really necessary, but with how many people moved from Xbox to Playstation this generation, it allows people who did move to experience the series.
But whether or not it is necessary doesn't matter. A ton of people wanted this to happen.
I'll probably wait until I can get the ps4 remaster trilogy for $40 or lower.
@kingdip90
Have you not played Crisis Core? It had the materia system but not turn based combat.
@CaspuR
The reason people are so attached to the FF7 system is because it is probably one of the most refined battle systems of the entire series. Out of all of the ATB games, it was the most inviting. I personally liked FFX's system a bit more, but it was pure turn base rather than ATB.
