Just look at the characters in this game - It obviously doesnt appeal to the hardcore gamer, well at least for me, the incredibly cringey "Inner city delinquent" character design completely turns me off. Looks like a game for casuals in any case. They are luring in casuals and trying to nickle and dime them into buying microtransactions. Guess they reliased the $70 price tag was way too much, so they had to make it free to play and lock "meaningful" content behind a paywal...
This same reviewer gave miles morales 7/10 - is he saying that this game is 20% better than miles morales? Wouw holy shit, and they gave Ghost of tsushima a 7???????
73 isnt bad though. It's not great, but it seems pretty good with some flaws holding it back
This is a good score. Looks like I may have underestimated the medium admittedly. Going to have to get this when i get a series x!
Unrelated side fact: Gamespot gave Tlou 2 an 8 - i know different reviewers, but they seemed to enjoy this one more. IGN also very positive on this game.
7/10 is still honestly pretty good and playable. Seems like John enjoyed his playthrough. I hear this is very, very short though.
I think Sekiro is one of the most underrated game's this gen. It feels like it came and went, but it left such an impression and mark on me... i want to play it again
Im not so sure anymore. Was absolutely hyped when this was first shown. Went back to some trailers, and the latest one looks so different to how the game looked from reveal.. there was also a ton of pop in and seemed to lack atmosphere (latest 2020 demo). Im going with very low expectations
"Paper thin characters" - I mean seriously.. i had to do a double take on that comment jeez. Tlou 2 is deeply character driven, the voice acting, motion capture and performances from the entire cast was second to none imo. You're not going to find many, if not any, games that have more complexity and nuance in characters - im talking about line delivery, voice acting and performance here which brings them to life in a way that i have not seen in any other game.
