Considering sony moved a total of 2.2 million Playstation brand consoles is outstanding. Especially considering sony is now making hefty profits on both the PSP and PS2 now and breaking even on the PS3. Imagine if the PS3 was only $299.99, i guarantee it would have sold as much as the 360. I get disagrees for saying sony did good by selling 2.2 million total playstation units from the PS3, PSP and PS2.. you guys do realize that at the end of the day sony makes more profits then MS seeing as how they make big profits on the PSP and PS2 and break even on the PS3. Sony did outstanding if you ask me.. Like blademask said, the 360 sold pretty much the same amount of consoles last year at double the price and now its half the price it was last year and only managed to sell 180k more units then last year while the PS3 is the same price and still double the price and only sold 30 thousand units lest than last year.

Or does the 360 seem like it didnt do as good as it shouold have. I mean yea it outsold the PS3 but the PS3 sold a very solid 735k units and its more than double the price of the 360
Playstation is kicking butt. a total of 2 million playstation hardware units moved with PS3, PSP and PS2.. considering sony is pretty much breaking even on the PS3 and making very good profits on the PSP and PS2, they are raking in the money.

Last gen noone gave a crap about sales and i dont even think VGchartz and NPD where made public online until just a few years ago (MORON)
All i know is its currently 5:00 p.m eastern time here and at 630 the NPD will be released and a slew of 360 fanboys to grace us with "PS3 is doomed" articles all over again. So PS3 fans, if you have ANY good PS3 news or stories whatsoever, post them now before the NPD gets released and the 360 fanboys come rushing in.

I know im in the minority but i like gamestop. Where I live its the only true gaming store. I refuse and ABSOLUTLY refuse to buy any games from wal mart. Play magazine gave Lair a 9/10.. need i say more? Oh and btw, Im probably one of the biggest Killzone fans and literally count down the days until Feb 27th and i know this game will rock. Think again, Even when i go into home, almost everyone i ask say they are buying Killzone 2 day 1. I go into my gamestop and they have a huge killzone 2 poster behind the counter with a sign that says pre order now, my gamestop already said they are doing a midnight launch due to the amount of pre orders they got.. Oh and i live in a small state like South Carolina in a small city.
This article stated the truth. PS3 sales are up 40% up from a year ago but down slightly for the holiday months of Nov and december.. how is that spin when its just facts?!
