Because its a requirement to be 18+ in most beta tests. They would much rather have 1 serious mature beta tester that will report issues over 10 sixteen year old boys who just want to "test" the game.

But what we ,on this n4g..and pretty much all hardcore gamers, consider a flop..is based on the overall ratings from all review sites. Hardcore games care more about the game's playability.
Flop for Companies is if doesn't sell. They could care less (high up wise) if it got 4/10, but if it put money into their pockets they...
Now and days.....it seems a 8.0 or higher is called the "good" rating. Whereas 7.0 is "acceptable" pretty much hit or miss depending on the customer. If you have below 7...it means it just plain sux bigtime.
I didn't have too high hopes for this game after I heard it was only like 20-25 hour game.
Id rather stick with my Disgaea 3 (298374982374 hours) and Tales of Vesp (60-100 hours).

Yes...the Disgaea and FF Tactics series are both Strategy RPGS.
Disgaea has about 10x to do though. Random Item World Dungeons and TON of sidequest stuff FTW!

I am gunna skip this game. Not because of any negative reason, but because Disgaea 3 is in stores tommorow. Which everyone knows Disgaea(s) can take 50-unlimited hours to finish. Then the NEXT freakin day is Tales, which takes 60ish hours to beat the story alone.

Wouldn't of even minded 4 disc with Lost Odyssey if one of the disc didn't come in a FK'n sleeve.
Still the worst packaged game I had ever seen (NA Packaging). The CE Metal Case games come close after with it falling loose so easy.

I understand the WoW Instance grinding just fine....I did it quite alot, but then when Burning crusade came out and all your hundreds of hours of instancing those items were outclassed by a Green Item. I wanted to scream.
Now I see that the same thing will happen again with the new Lich King Expansion.
Knock off WoW, but it will definitely be taking away some of its players. These players are probably sick of Blizzard making new expansions and raise level cap which inturn makes your Equipment you worked your ass for...COMPLETELY USELESS.
I have been playing through a while (month+) of Closed beta. I am definitely picking this game up as my new "top/current" MMO.
Illegal to online gamble in most USA states...so this wont happen (NA wise).

Its also gunna be hard to distinguish and sell the "difference" in systems even more now (since its 2 80 gigs and one is way better than other(personal preference)).

Square definitely seems to be fully multiplatform now. If you don't want to call it multiplatform, they are giving everyone (all 3) their own exclusives.
I am quite suprised this takeover. I figured it would be EA. I just hope Square isn't going to turn into EA. By saying that, I mean buying companies...killing off MANY good IPs...then making new titles from the remaining IPs COMPLETE CRAP!
