Best consoles at launch are always offering better games and graphics than best pc...for 4,5 years (and more for some kind of games, like gow, etc), after that, best pc, with some games only, can take back the graphic crown.
but consoles remain king of variety and best games, no matter what.
They are already giving xbox with computers, etc since years...but can't compete with ps3 + library.

i don't compare games from different generations obviously better (more complex, etc) now, and HD, but :
online, psn, wireless pad, earsets, etc made a big difference..

they are spending a lot of money for marketing, adds, for buying kinect, timed exclusives content, Rrod (!), etc etc since day one, and they don't have many studios or royalties (bluray, patents, etc) to make huge profits..so, it's possible they don't win enough money for a company like microsoft.
