I read that as "graphic over gameplay" which, in every other conversation on this site, as far as I have seen, should apparently not be the case.
It was like how I felt about the majority of console games at the end of this gen, where I was seeing sub-hd resolutions and sluggish framerates.
I would have largely preferred proper clarity and overall smoothness over pushing consoles beyond their limits engine-wise and hitting them in the areas mentioned.

If people would say "They are doing better, but there is a long way to go" then I would be fine with that. I want to see the Vita do well. It has so much potential and is just a powerful handheld in general. It has the ability to do that which the 3DS can only dream.
That's not what you normally get though. You get a "Vita is doing great" and they will then link you to sales for a week or two, usually from when a major release hit Japan...
And you still get people around here who will defend any knock towards Vita with a "It's doing well now".

A list containing upcoming, not yet released, titles. Support from publishers also supporting the 3DS. Still doesn't magically crown the Vita the ultimate JRPG machine, nor does that magic away an extensive list of JRPG's available on the 3DS, let alone the Playstation 3.

The system has been out how long? If the library was anywhere near that of the 3DS, it would have the sales to show for it. 3DS wasn't doing well until it had games for it. The Vita has suffered poor sales for much longer than that.
I don't much care what you think of the Vita, no offense. My whole point is that gamers, as a whole, don't care for the thing.

Nah. I'd just buy a PS4.
Project Shield will do the same thing and that is a lot more attractive to me, being a PC gamer. That's retailing at the same price of your average Vita and has a much better chance of getting my money.
The Vita has very few games that interest me and that seems to be true with a lot of people, considering sales.
More than it's worth, until it gets more games and the best it has to offer is more than simply a polished port of a PS2 game.
If console makers would pay for quality, Nvidia would be in the machines at the moment.
They were offered the job first, but were not willing to settle for the price that AMD apparently was.
