....but the scenario that this article points out as problematic for consumers buying the 360 late into the life cycle is quite the same as the PS2 to PS3? The PS2 launched in 2000 and the PS3 came out in 2006 unless I've mistaken and the PS2 came out in 1999. However if the former is the case wouldn't it be the same and I don't think people had any real gripes with the transition from one to the other...well cost was the one gripe but most people looked forward to the launch of the PS3 aft...
even the early dev kits that developers received a year before launch were different from the final dev kits; and the final dev kits are different then the dev kits that developers have now. In the same way that the 360 dev kits constantly changes due to it being out and developers figuring out new ways to do things. Also both Sony and Microsoft figures out newer and easier ways to handle the hardware and send it out to developers as well. And, with all the small firmware updates that the ps...
.....what did I say to warrant 3 disagrees????
....I hear what you're saying and while I think that the ease of programming may have something to do with a lot of rpg's landing on the 360 for now, I think for the most part that the 360 is seeing more rpg's cause it has a year over the ps3. So there's more time developers have to understand the hardware. I'm quite sure when more developers get more comfortable with the ps3 mechanics we'll see a boatload of rpgs for the system as well.
....get approved but hopefully enough people will read this and understand what is being said here.
..is that MS is just doing what it suppose to do and that is to show that GTA is not just a Playstation Branded Title. Think about it like this even if there's 2mil xbox306's in the uk and 1 million ps3's in the uk or something like that the game still on collectively sold about a 1mil. So even with the userbase advantage of the 360 it was still possible for the ps3 version to out sell it. It's not like there's 2mill 360's and only 300,000 ps3's in the uk to make up the 900,000 plus units ...
While I think HOME is a very nice feature, I don't see myself using it that much once good ole in-game XMB hits the forefront. That's all I need is some in-game XMB and some MGS4 and I'm coasting.
So one person made two different reports on one story for no reason whatsoever?? Can somebody explain this to me? And why is this being called Spam?
I think it's pondering that it would be good if one didn't come out this year. I feel like if they could take a year off and have the time to do all the things they want to do with the next Madden it could really stand out as a great football game experience.
It will become a reality.......sigh.......
...you have to realize that if backbreaker is leaps and bounds better then Madden it won't matter because it doesn't have the Official NFL license and that's a pretty big deal. And what you have to ask is; is 09 going to be 60 dollars better then 08?
There's 2 parts to this
1. Gamers will continue to buy a new sports game every year.
2. EA knows this and will continue to make one with small improvements every year.
In my honest opinion, I feel like Madden games can truly be great, however it will only continually be marginal better then the last iteration for the simple fact is more time is needed for development.
Just take your time while reading it and you'll get it.
Gamers think about it, if you exclude FPS titles that's being published by third parties; that would give the PS3 Resistance,Killzone and the 360 Gears of War. Granted we don't know what will be announced in the future but this is what is known as of now. Both Consoles for 08 as it stands for right now are going to be relying on other game genres more heavily. So to say one or the other is not moving past the shooter gamer is a bit of cutting the argument to ones favor. 360 has some stell...
However I didn't want to do that being that I just copied and pasted it from the site. So I'm not really quoting anyone the way you read it was the way it was on the site. So try actually reading it.
Can't we just take a minute and laugh? What's so lame about it?
MS is keeping a very tight lip on what they may have planned for this year, and I can only think that they're trying out a new stategy. Last year a lot of stuff was leaked and all the hype came around the leaked info so much that when it was time for the actually annoucement; then it was like a disappointment cause we already knew about it.
So maybe now they're not saying anything so we can be excited for whatever it is that they announce. And that's just a pure guess. It'll...
I just copied and pasted it.
MS are publishing a very diverse lineup of games for the 360. And those games that you mention I think are really going to define the 360 as a game console with a feel for everybody. However it would be nice if they would work on a next gen Crimson Skies, or a Jade Empire, or maybe convince Ubi to do another Beyond Good and Evil or throw some money out to make a Pyshonaughts 2!!
with some of your points about the invisible walls and not being able to look around while standing still. I did really enjoy the combat and I love the cool armor and weapons that drops at any given moment. I can see how co-oping in this game can be extremely fun and chaotic at the same time. I'm looking forward to it, however I don't think it'll be review well. I think this game may garner a 7.5 or 7.8.
