They are working on TMAA for the PS4. They have a couple months yet. 2xMSAA is so much more advisable over this seriously. The PS4 NEEDS something better than MLAA and FXAA. Costs and what not are not the problem. The problem is this is a deferred renderer.
FXAA is fucking awful. It needs to go pronto. It seems GG agrees and they are working on TMAA which does some things differently and should not have that awful vaseline blur.
Anybody who thinks FXAA is decent needs their eyes checked. It will single handedly ruin the IQ of this title and they realize this I hope. Honestly, I am glad I will have a PC and PS4 when it comes. I just hope they are serious about getting AA right.

I don't think you can make those assumptions not having developed a single line of code for the PS4.
The CPU is generally not the most powerful. But it is still very capable. Comparing it an off the self tablet CPU is a little much considering how different the entire architecture is.
You vastly underestimate the efficiency gained by coding to the metal and not dealing with Microsoft APIs and such. These guys will be getting 680 capable effects out of the PS4 even if it is at 30FPS for the biggest games. That is my prediction anyway. You can do a lot of things with brute force but what you cannot do is get passed the dated and locked-down style of development on PC.

Not really it is called a new gen. Keep your PS3 and stop being entitled to everything. Did you VHSs work with your DVDs? No. This is a completely different architecture and they had to do it. The Cell was a backwards developmental tool. They have done everything right. No problem keeping my PS3 around. Tons of PSN games and yeah it sucks a little but I already rebought a few on Steam.
Those old trigger were meh. This controller quite honestly is unbeatable. There is nothing left to do but copy it. Homerun. Srsly. Thing is pure sex. Not a damn flaw I can see. Bigger for the hands, better sticks, better grips, better triggers, etc. No way would I ever use anything else after this on my PC or my PS products.
Wipeout--KZ4--TOTALLY different games. Wipeout had a resolution that rarely stayed at 1080p. Srsly, people.

It has nothing to do with 3D. They prolly will not even include that option. You people quite honestly have no idea what it takes to render 1080p and 60 with what they are trying to accomplish with the game. Don't forget Pixar renders at 24FPS kiddies. The PS4 is simply not capable of easy peasy 60 FPS with all that going on. And with proper MOTION BLUR it should be just fine.

Some of these guys are pretty clueless. Coding to the metal of these consoles will have to be debated AFTER we see the games. No one really knows just how powerful and optimized they can get. But the Nvidia 700 series will be out in a year or so and then you start all over again. The PS4 is only going to make PC games run harder. Best of both worlds is to own both as those Sony exclusives are worth the price alone imo.

Seriously the DS4 looks better in every way and is a MASSIVE improvement over the DS3. The Xbone controllers looks like a Fisher Price toy and a bad gimmick. Honestly, the 360 controller has this beat hands down if it had a better dpad. Microsoft design teams are fucking seriously defunct cuz that system and this controller are fucking hideous. You can tell Sony is so far ahead in this angle. Their system looks MILES better AND it's more powerful. The pad looks much better as well. Sure, ...
