This may not seem like a big deal, but we haven't had a mario launch with a console since 1996.
this isn't a power issue like ps3, it deals with "I don't know how to make something cool with the controller, so what ever"
That is just lazy. Thats why the sales have fallen for a lot recently for 3rd parties. They think they can just copy the cod formula and be good with it, and its just not how it works.
I'll give you four reasons why it should
1. Sales are down
2. The longer you wait the more of a chance someone will step up and take your spot
3. Graphics are not getting better, don't know what the article is stating
4. The games are getting very stagnant

Im not expecting smash brothers, but it would be a pleasant surprise. All nintendo had to do last year was say smash brothers will be on wii u and 3ds, and people lost their minds. Just imagine the reaction when they actually show gameplay.
It'll happen eventually, maybe not the Wii U but the next one will.

nintendo puts all its effort in the 3d mario games because they have too, they don't try on the 2d ones as much because they sell anyway. Would I love them to go all out with the graphics and creativity? Of course, but Im not sure nintendo will do that. They could easily surprise me
as MUCH as I want Metroid Prime 4, I want an Online Starfox made by retro a whole lot more.
