True, but Sony aren't pushing the PS3 as much as a BR player now as there are cheaper alternatives as you've said (I've seen them as low as £60) and there are more than enough quality titles on the console.

It'll more than likely be the carriers and hardware manufacturers that set the prices, not Microsoft. They'll just get the licensing fee from sales.
No prices as yet, it'll all depend on the hardware specs from the likes of HTC etc., much like the way Android is.
Won't be cheap though as the WP7 basic spec is reasonably good.

It has a finite charging lifespan though. Would be cheaper to replace the battery itself than buy a brand new controller.

Not into these proper closed betas, they'll get invites to the betas that are basically marketing tools.
I've been in all the previous betas, but am not a PS+ user.
PS+ will not get you access to these first stage closed betas.
