MS has hyped NATAL and then leaked an exorbitant price.
So that when they release the real price it deserves (probably 50-70)...
... people will think its a steal!!
MS thinks we're this stupid ...

NATAL will be cheap.
MS "leaked" the 150 price to "mind-condition" people.
So that when it comes out at $50
... people will think it's a steal.
(... of course there will be a lot of people who'll fall for it.)

Unless you mean 'excited' as being a family doing a rave in-front of the TV.
=)
1. I don't have that much space in the living room to play it.
2. Using your feet will be an ISSUE if you don't live on the first floor.
3. FPS games. How do you run-n-gun? How do you take cover?
4. Notice on the Natal commercial on the kid playing the monster game. Microsoft did a misdirection ... just when the boy was about to run out of space walking forward ... he did the fire breath.
5. No rumble. Which is a good feedback when you're getting ...

I think building around the design and success of the wii-mote would make sense. (Let's admit that the Wii is a success)
I mean why re-invent the wheel when you can just put some improvements (added traction, etc).
There's a reason the wii-mote was successful compared to the PS2 eyetoy.
Introducing a square wheel for the sake of hype and 'revolutionizing' racing does not make sense.

The estimated / speculated price of Move if I'm not mistaken is $70 ... so that's $140 for 2.
If there will be more than 2 players playing simultaneously ...
... I hope you have a big living room.
MS would probably design such games (>2 players) to be "taking turns" type (which can be accomplished even with one controller).
Also, it is easier to shell out $70 (vs $150)
... impulse buy OR if you want to TRY it out ...
What's with MS doing SEPARATE demo sessions per writer/columnist?
Divide and conquer!?!?!
Also it seems they are putting a veil of mystery on NATAL ...
Is this so that IF you're a columnists / writer invited to do a demo ... you'll have that priveledged feeling and also some feeling of gratefulness??
In hopes of the columnists writing something positive?
Or to easily 'convince' the columnist?
